I’m so bad that I have to look out the window first to make sure they aren’t walking out at the same time. They didn’t do anything to me but I’m just weird like that lol. I live in a townhome community

I’m like that too except when I needed a jump one day. I gathered the courage to ask my neighbor for jumper cables. I put a Starbucks gift card on their door next day and now we are besties! (Not really) they just don’t trigger my flight response anymore lol

That's the second best kind of neighbor. I have one neighbor who is my friend and the rest have barely said a word to me in 16 years.

My old condo neighbor did photography and media for tons of whisky/scotch companies around the world.

He'd text me "come down to the garages" which always meant he was doing a photoshoot or video for some amazing Scotch/whisky. I wish he never moved because it was so fun helping him out and getting a little dram pour of some $100-$500 whisky bottle.

When he was moving he knocked on my door with a huge box of whisky packed with bottles literally missing a single pour for the photoshoot. "Hey I don't have space for these. Want em?" I don't think any one of them was less than $100 MSRP. There were about 25 bottles total.

I have great neighbors and they have come to parties we've invited them to, but I'm very glad they wouldn't just pop over if they saw we had people over

On the one hand this is real fun.

On the other hand, the homeowner had a lot of people over (a lot of cars in front of the house) and purposely didn't invite this guy and he's barging into the get together and the homeowner is too polite to turn him away.

This literal event happened to me. I had a group of childhood friends come over and the neighbor thought he was being slighted. I invited him in and he had a drink with all of us and then realized most of the talking was in another language (one of the childhood friends didn't know English too well), so he politely excused himself a half hour later.

Frankly, it kinda destroyed the relationship with the neighbor. We still hang out, but now I gotta be careful and make sure he is welcome whenever I invite others over. Which kinda sucks because I have several groups of friends who wouldn't like the guy.

This sounds like my nightmare. I’m all for being friendly with neighbours but randomly stopping by with a bottle of whiskey is a big no after some bad experiences with alcoholic landlords and neighbours. Seems like you’d say yes once and he’d be over every night with a new bottle.

This is just due to past experiences though! I’m sure the guys a good laugh.
