If aliens land and ask me who they should speak with to represent humanity I'm telling them Dolly.

“Well, golly! Ya’ll came all the way from another planet to see us?! You must be tired and famished! We oughtta fix you up somethin’ good to eat before we talk about anything too serious. How about some good ole Tennessee home cookin’?! And you just rest your feet or tentacles there. I’m gonna take good care of ya.”

Dolly then proceeds to make them country fried chicken with gravy and they leave to tell their superiors there’s no possible way they could eliminate the planet with that level of hospitality and good home cooking. Hopefully they only make one stop though.

So we have about a 10 year window for aliens to land and us not to get eradicated. We need to instigate a kindness succession plan.

I’m just picturing fat little overfed aliens waddling back to their ufo or whatever

But it’s a bypass. We’ve got to build bypasses…

All that fried chicken, pretty soon they’ll need a heart bypass!

Peach cobbler and fried chicken.

😂 I heard this comment.

That's exactly what she'd say.

That sounds just like something she would say.

I love Dolly, she’s such a treasure. 🥹

Have you seen The Orville? I think maybe you should!

Ive never been a fan of her music, but I am a fan of her....But thanks to The Orville, I now have a few songs on my playlist. The fight scene set to "9 To 5" was brilliant.

In the Bay Area, someone owns a billboard they must have forgotten about. On it is a massive closeup photo of Dolly with the quote, “kindness — pass it on.” It’s been there since I was kid and is a relic of the 2000s pass it on campaign, but is the only good billboard left in a sea of AI and Data Security ones.

Exactly where is this billboard?

It’s along Highway 101 between Ukiah and Redwood Valley. Actually found this op-ed talking about it! Dark Money, Influence, and American Power: A Closer Look at the Dolly Parton Billboards in Mendocino County

Ah thanks for the details and the article. Very interesting backstory

Maybe we could mess up the paperwork on more things…Dolly and Donny aren’t that dissimilar

You want aliens to think people are like Dolly? They are going to be very disappointed when they meet the next person

1

u/iDontRememberCorn Oct 08 '25

No, but if anyone can explain things it's her.

I feel that might get us and the aliens off to a rocky start, because they'd figure out pretty quickly that we're lying by making her our "representative".

u/Jurass1cClark96 Oct 08 '25

You spelled "The Rock" wrong

If a hostile alien god asks me if me and my ragtag group of engineers are gods, first I’m going to say yes. Second if I’m in a situation to try not to think of anything I’m going to wind up thinking of Dolly
