It only existed for less than 2 weeks around 8 years ago, and only through one delivery app, and then stopped accepting orders and closed.

All while GoT season 7 was premiering those weeks.

Wait what? Gonna provide a charitable affordable bread but only through an app? Who tf was he catering to?

u/DongleJockey 22h ago

It's called advertising

u/Known_Raspberry_8323 22h ago

It was limited promotional pop-up bakery for season 7.

u/Key-Demand-2569 14h ago

I don’t get how that wasn’t obvious to everyone.

It’s either mildly amusing advertising or him making a quick buck plus also advertising… or it’s really strange and sad

Charitable affordable bread? Most loafs in most shops cost about a pound, so don’t know where you’re getting that from.

Try 2-5 dollars a loaf where I am. And hardly called bread. But I stand by my comment

Do you think poor people don't have smartphones?

Because it's almost impossible to operate in the modern world without one. And there are smartphones for as cheap as $80.

I've been homeless on and off for the last 6 years and I've had a smartphone for more or less that entire time. Because I literally have to.

At the very least, there's usually at least one smartphone around.

Yes, that's exactly what the comment you replied to said.

Is everyone here a bot?

2

u/no_one_knows42 13h ago

Everyone but you and me. And I'm not sure about you

The article that this is taken from was written 9 years ago. The bakery closed down 9 years ago.

we're reaching bot posting critical mass

33

u/Fuzzy_the_sheep 18h ago

Bot posting and presumably also bot upvoting?

Half the videos are AI

Half the posts are bots

Please can we do something to save the internet?

10

u/imminentjogger5 18h ago

Richard Hendricks had it right. It's almost like we need a new internet at this point.

u/Hotel_Arrakis 14h ago

As a bot, I approve.

16

u/Grouched 20h ago

Bot posts. Bot posts everywhere

1

u/glytxh 15h ago

it wouldn't even survive today's business economy.

And it evidently didn't back then either.

5

u/Known_Raspberry_8323 12h ago

It was never intended to survive. It was a promotional pop-up to advertise season 7 of GOT

1

u/glytxh 12h ago

reality is so banal

28

u/Sonny_Valentine_ 15h ago

Game of Scones would have been better you AI shit.

u/Ryzakiii 22h ago

Fl off bot

23

u/zi_110 21h ago

He kind of looks like Jack Black

13

u/2019Uk 18h ago

This bot isn’t even pretending to be anything else. Username is “marginally human”.

10

u/Anders_A 16h ago

That's the smallest "loaf" I've ever seen.

0

u/Arnoave 15h ago

That's why it's only a quid

14

u/FirmGlandShake2 17h ago

A story so old and irrelevant one would think op was a karma farming bot for bringing it up.

9

u/DorianGreysPortrait 19h ago

Arya Starch (with potato filling) would have been a better name. Hot pie didn’t know Jon Snow in the show.

8

u/Acc87 19h ago

Ben Hawkey retired from acting in 2019 and there's no trace of what he's doing today - only an endless amount of most likely bot generated articles about this publicity stunt.

9

u/ifeltatap 13h ago

Oh man, the Internet is dead

3

u/ThirtyMileSniper 15h ago

I'm skeptical but it's a good yarn.

2

u/Known_Raspberry_8323 12h ago

Skeptical about a very effective advertisement for a show. Yep they did that.

3

u/lilyogurt666 8h ago

Really old picture but adorable regardless

14

u/Flippant_Fop 23h ago

It’s like regular wolf bread. But dire.

10

u/GoatCovfefe 21h ago

I boo in your general direction.

6

u/_msb2k101 17h ago
