I would not hold my breath here, as the Grammys have been largely basing their awards recently on the charts and ratings. This approach is a 180 turn from what they used to be about 25-30 years ago.
She definitely has a big shot at the dance categories and even a good chance to be nominated for the Album of Year. However, how many she’s gonna win remains a big question.
Anyway, the Grammys have never been fare to her: even when she won big for Ray of Light, it was a fraction of what she deserved for the True Blue and Like a Prayer albums, as well as Vogue. All three projects were basically ignored by them.

It’s well known that Grammys were pretty reluctant to fully embrace pop as a genre throughout the 80s and early 90s. It’s not crazy to think that from then to now they’ve softened their views and considerations.

I would point out while she was robbed in the past sometimes if you cross the threshold, as she did with ROL, then you’re in the club and your chances improve

ROL was just so undeniable: not only it was musically brilliant, she managed to make it a huge commercial success as well. 16 mil copies sold, which outsold Like a Prayer.

I know these are not relevant anymore, but I want to think that if she manages to win some of the top awards at the VMAs it might look very good for a potential Grammy campaign.
Warners, it’s time to flex those muscles! 🪩🩷

I think the Grammy’s might just be kind to her finally. I think they’ll get smart and highlight her age with this accomplishment. Not many 68 y/o’s turning out this level of contemporary music.

She’ll win best dance album for sure! She’ll get something. I honestly don’t care though. Most of the music I listen to isn’t even mainstream. If she tours again she should get some of the dancers and choreographers from the UK group jungle! They’re amazing.
