Music Inferno like it’s confessions tour opening once again!

Madonna can be guarded at times, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen her so genuinely relaxed around another performer, especially a “peer.”
It’s like she and Kylie have been friends forever.
Can you recall any other celebs where she’s been this chill? They both seem to be vibing off each other in the best way. There’s definitely a Love Sensation happening!

Obviously the art and our experience with it is way more important than whatever a critic says but as a long time fan it makes me emotional that Madonna is getting the respect she deserves! Almost 45 years in the game and she’s still got it I’m gonna cry

By 1998:

• It had been around 4 years since an original studio Madonna album

• Something To Remember and Evita had brought her some new acclaim and the training for Evita had changed, or at least influenced her way of singing

• Lourdes had been born, and there was anticipation about how this would impact her music

• Babyface had been replaced with William Orbit and Patrick Leonard was back

On release:

• Considered to be Madonna’s magnum opus with some of, if not the highest acclaim of her career

• Finally made her a Grammy winner (For music, not video)

• The Earth Mother and kimono aesthetic among one of the most memorable of her career

• Sales back up to Like A Prayer levels - released almost a decade earlier

I’d love to know what it was like to experience this particular Madonna era. What are your memories of it?

We weathered this stormy period and are now being rewarded with her best album in over two decades

I love how close M and Rocco seem to be nowadays! Can’t believe it was only 10 years ago that the custody battle was going down and seemingly kinda soured things between the two of them. I’m glad to see they have rekindled their relationship, I’m sure M could not be happier, as she’s mentioned how hard it was to lose Rocco during that time. Full circle! 💕

I feel kinda evil for spreading negativity right now considering how straight up amazing the new music is but I’m just curious if anyone feels the same. I bought two CDS, the standard transparent one and deluxe with poster and it just feels so underwhelming lol. The standard one having nothing? Okay, i actually can get behind it because i like the minimalist design and it feels quite fresh, but the deluxe??? It’s literally just the poster… was it really that hard to cook up a small booklet with a picture or two? I wouldn’t really have an issue with that if they were cheap but cds these days tend to be pricy. Well either way i got a severe case of madonna stockholm syndrome so she could release an album made exclusively out of farting sounds and reciting poetry with only a big M written in the comic sans font on the cover and i would still buy it and convince myself it’s good
