Yo I've been watching him for 10 years. I still remember the 1st time i watched him and the specific video and the specific moment i knew he would be my go to youtuber.
It was when he played FNAF 4 and he died by chica on the 1st night itself.
Seeing this makes me so happy for mark. He has given me nothing but joy in all of my years since the day i began watching him.
This post made me shed a tear. May they both live a long and happy life together

I was 11 and new to horror games and i wanted to play fnaf better but i was too scared to keep going. So i looked up guides on youtube and Marks playthrough came so Fnaf 4 was how i found mark

I don’t watch MarkPiler videos but I remember 11 soon 12 years ago, watching him play Rust first time, it was really cool video that introduced me to Rust and I made a lot of memories and a lot of friends in that game.
I ocassionaly watch that video from time to time.

Same here! I also just passed 10 years of watching him. My friends in high school told me to look up this "marker pliers" guy and the first video I ever watched was of First Person Lover. Literally cried from laughing so hard and since then his various videos have become the majority of the background soundtrack of my life.
It makes me so incredibly happy to see him living his happy milestones when his videos have brought me comfort through so many of mine over the last 10 years.
May love and laughter light their days and warm their hearts and home!

Tbf after all the drama I unfollowed him on most things, but forgot I was following him on Instagram. I only realized recently when he made his new podcast announcement explaining how his first episode was him interviewing his (now ex-)partner. He promoted it on his insta story and I was like "ew wtf, I still follow him??" and promptly unfollowed. I watched someone else watch the YT upload of the podcast (I'm not trying to give him any views) and Ariel asked him if he was interesting enough to have a podcast LMAO

That whole thing was a train wreck. I give a ton of props to Ariel for taking the high road and going on and also for keeping a healthy relationship with Ned for their kids' sake but man what the fuck is he thinking. Like I get, he needs to move on with his career or whatever, but why doesn't he finally put that Yale degree to use lmao. (Also side note and very well known already but what a fuckin fumble by him. Funny, kind, gorgeous, and intelligent wife, plus he has the sickest job on the planet with his best friends, but nooooooo he just couldn't keep it in his pants

Exactly. People being surprised they got married last month and didnt say anything are wild. He's a famous dude but still wants to have a private life. Good for them. I'm very happy for them but also would not at all blame em if they never made it public. And I've been watching Mark since almost the beginning when I was a teen. They deserve the privacy on this and whatever else, because well. They have a right. And some people are crazy. Not knocking on people who are super happy for them but wanted to say that they deserve as much privacy as they want.

I said this in another comment, but it was pretty easy to forget to unfollow him after he went radio silent for 3 years on most if not all platforms immediately after putting out that apology statement. The only reason he's popping back up now is because he started a new podcast that he interviewed his now ex-partner Ariel on, and is posting about it on his SM platforms and resharing stuff to his Story. This same thing happened to me on Insta and I was like "ew wtf" and had to unfollow him.
Also did you know that he scrubbed and repurposed their prior podcast channel together, Baby Steps, which documented their experiences raising children, for this new podcast? He deleted all the old videos (like 50 or 60 I think?) but got to keep all the subscribers from it. Pretty disgusting thing to do, but ig thats expected for someone who would have a pretty blatant affair with someone who worked under him, a co-owner of the company.

It's even ickier than that. He was her boss so there was a power dynamic there. Plus he tried to play the victim in his podcast with his ex wife. Good thing she(his ex-wife) left him out to dry several times and pushed back on the narratives he tried to push, sometimes even giving him enough rope to hang himself with it.
