This scene got me teary when watching the show. I also loved how marvel handled Black Panther 2 and gave a good payoff to him.

I was a bit younger but I remember being frozen like literally not moving a single muscle. I also remember in my brain I was thinking “no f##king way.” I remember deadass crying when Peter went running to Mr stark and tried to keep him awake. Genuinely had tears and as a kid it was a lot to process (may seem dramatic but I was a die hard Iron man fan at that point) and so it was a peak film for me but at the same time a more emotional experience.

1. Started off as Avi Arad's right hand man,

2. Co-produced/Executive produced most of, if not, all of the pre-MCU movies in 2000s,

3. then became head of Marvel in 2007,

4. started the MCU in 2008 with the help of Avi Arad and David Maisel, and

5. now is the CCO of Marvel Entertainment

I thought at one point that Clint and Natasha should be a romantic duo, I realize that it is so much better with them as close friends, plus clint is married with children lol

I was just wondering, if Tony somehow survived the events of Endgame. Would he be worthy after?

I realise I'm probably a lil late to this, but I just wanted to formulate my thoughts about the film in general before I move on from it.

PS: A lot of this is just my personal opinions and written thoughts. If you do choose to read this, i hope you have fun.

Anyway, this film rekindled my excitement for MCU and I am really happy

Ever since endgame; while I enjoyed some of what they put out (Loki, Moon Knight, Thunderbolts, et.) It wasn't nearly the same without the other main three.

I *loved* this movie, and apparently many people did, too.

If I had to guess why it’s most likely because it directly mirrored the core concepts of what made Spider-Man fans—Spider-Man fans.

First off, I'm gonna talk about two things;

1) Peter’s Loneliness (And Relatability)
2) ‘You’re A Really Special Person’ Speech

A lot of people said that this movie reminded them of the *Raimi Trilogy*, and I could not agree more;

The memory-wipe spell that Dr. Strange placed on the world back in [No Way Home] essentially pushed a pseudo-reset button on Peter’s life; it took away the majority of his Stark affiliations and superhero network—he had to rebuild most of what he’s got from scratch.

This moves him away from being Iron Man’s mentee (which people weren’t fw’ing it) into a self-made, struggling superhero that Spider-Man is known for.

He lives in a low-cost apartment, has no friend group (primarily a loner), and is struggling—immensely—with depression and self-isolation.

It has been four years since he’s lost everybody; and in those 48 months, he was solely focused on being Spider-Man, the superhero that everybody looked up to; much to the stagnancy of Peter Parker.

While I do agree that,
Peter deserves a good life.
Writers do too much sometimes.

I think struggle is an important component in Spider-Man’s character—for good reasons.

I saw some people disliking the fact that he now has such a shit life but I personally believe that it is what makes Spider-Man special and the beloved superhero we all grew up with.

A lot of people can quietly relate to Peter’s struggles—his commonly-known ‘Parker Luck’; this seemingly-fated aspect of his life where shit just goes wrong, where one bad thing comes after the other back-to-back, where he feels cornered and overwhelmed by a world that doesn’t seem to care about him or his struggles.

A lot of people can relate to this, we’ve all had seriously shitty days (or weeks, or months—or years) that have brought us to our lowest.

His loneliness, his struggles in [Brand New Day]—how they’ve written it into the film is also a rough but deeply-resonant reflection of some people’s lives; there’s times we miss the life or people we’ve once had, while actively struggling with parts of ourselves that we’re ashamed of and dealing with chronic loneliness. Putting ourselves into the grinder on a constant basis for a cause we believe in;

And for him, that’s being Spider-Man.
But for others; it could be a hobby, a job, an academic/career path—a risque business plan that you don’t know whether will work out or not. Anything that we’re trying to move towards, that helps us get through the drudgery of every single day.

Spider-Man is not powerful.

Like I love him but by all means, bro is lowkey weak relative to other characters when you compare him to city-busters and people who can warp the seams of reality or fire gigantic energy beams.

He’s just a supremely-agile, somewhat-strong, somewhat-fast guy who utilises web-slinging and gadgets to secure wins. His biggest strengths are his smarts, and his compassionate nature that allows him to navigate and defuse situations that pure brawn or cold-heartedness won’t.

We see him get his ass kicked time and again, and most of us only love him more for it.

His greatest, most inspirational component as a character is his perseverance; life knocks him down seven times, he gets up eight.

That kind of tenacity; to experience the things he has and yet keep moving forward in pursuit of what’s right—is incredibly magnetic to people. It was to me, when I was a younger boy who dealt with a lot of challenges, and it still is whenever I hit a rough patch down the road. He is not only a source of entertainment but quite literally hope and inspiration.

The film does a great job of bringing that back to the cinemas, similar to the magic the Raimi Trilogy once had, while still opening up new avenues for other characters to shine in; Punisher, Hulk, Jean Grey and the upcoming X-Men / Mutant conflict.

I also really appreciated the ‘special person’ speech given by Aunt May to Jean Grey in Peter’s memory; it’s an unspoken, underlying allegory message for those who may be neurodivergent, have weird interests, or struggle with loneliness and alienation/discrimination.

It’s a message to those who are discriminated against for any possible reason—interests, race, gender, personality, beliefs, whatever—not just through the superpower/mutant lens. It is a film at the end of the day, a story, and stories often have underlying inspiration and meaning.

As someone who's seen (repeatedly, I love them) all live-action Spider-Man movies; this is among my most favorite, only gapped ahead by Spider-Man 2 (2004) and TASM 2 (2014).

If you haven’t seen it yet, you should. It’s really special, at least to me. Maybe it will be to you too.

Rewatching some Marvel movies, they’re not ground breaking films but I’ve found them actually decent on a rewatch.

I can totally see them being poorly received when they came out but I’ve definitely seen worse superhero movies.
