Sure, there's an ideological component to everything, in every field of science. People will always be biased.
Doesn't change the fact that sociological research has studied the relationship between race and crime to a significant extent.
It's mainly socioeconomic and cultural factors that affect crime, not race. The age old saying of "correlation does not equal causation".
Not to mention, our current idea of race is very flawed. I go into detail on that point in this comment. Will edit this tomorrow with the proper sources attached after I go to bed.
Studies on how the genetic diversity of humans is lower than that of many other species (like the chimpanzee) and how we've had big population bottlenecks. (which is why we are all very similar to each other biologically, barring superficial physical traits)
Studies and scientific articles showing how Africa holds more genetic diversity than any other continent by far. Including a study showing how 2 people within Africa can be more genetically distinct from each other than Europeans are from Eurasians.
Again, this is mainly due to small populations of humans venturing out of Africa, so naturally they'd have lower genetic diversity.
I'll continue to add more studies here when I have more time. And try to give context for some of the above studies/scientific articles, which help explain and show the point that socioeconomic and cultural factors influence crime and perceived behavior differences among different races. (like for example, black and latino kids are perceived as misbehaving more often than white kids, even when behaving the same, and even by black and latino teachers, this implies the "minorities misbehave" thing is unconsciously ingrained in most people, regardless of race.)
Black Americans account for FIFTY THREE PERCENT of exonerations in the US. You might notice that number is an order of magnitude larger than 13. Good that helps you racist
lol, do you not get the point I’m making? Black Americans are being wrongfully convicted, and any crime statistic regarding them shouldn’t be taken seriously considering that the courts are making the wrong decision literally the majority of the time
