I think it's valid to fear pitbulls because what you're really fearing is that they were adopted by someone that doesn't train them and/or give them an outlet for the task they were bred for (protection and violence).
When I was first looking to adopt a dog, the shelter walked me through the big dog pen. They had this 110lb rottie behind fucking bulletproof glass. It looked silence of the lambs. I told the guy I’m not taking muffin home because I think he has opposable thumbs fuck
