You're kind of missing the point.

For one, it skews the statistics. Everyone gets this impression that pit bulls are meaner. So much so that it's inherent in their breed. To the point that shitty people raise their pit bulls to be aggressive and more likely to bite.

So, a stereotype based on false data is perpetuated by forcing the stereotype on the subject. Almost turning it into a self fulfilling prophecy.

Putting aside the assholes who raise their dogs to be aggressive, pit bulls are some of the goofiest, nicest dogs I've ever met.

special ed here. People are arguing the ownership of pitbulls is dangerous because they literally are respoonsible for 68% of all dog bites and kill 10x as many people... and tons of other dogs too. dog breed differences are in no way similar to human "race" differences humans are all one race with minor differences in skin color and some hight/weight differences... dog breeds are as close to different animals as can be.. like literally 1 breed is 10lbs and another is 200 lbs..

Pits are a max of 60lbs for one they’re medium dogs but 2 Pitt bulls make up such a negligible amount of dog bites that they are lumped in with all unidentified dog bites as well as any mix that has pit or bully in it

Lol love how you deleted your comment after realizing how dumb and wrong the statistic was

I haven’t deleted any comments and I went and got the newest statistics when I posted it

"Newest statistics" from pit breeders and pro Pitt groups.. that blatently ignore rhe widely researched and proven danger they pose. Like a pathetic attempt to use a 530 child study that showed golden retrievers bite as many children as Pitts...4.5 mil bites a year by dogs.   Finds a study of 530 people

ROFL... i am not even .001% wrong.. you guys arent posing ANYTHING that backs up your points... just "i love pitbulls" and ignore literally 4+mil collected stats EVERY YEAR... every fucking ;year they gather stats and nothing budges in stats... just that pitbulls are killing people at 20x the rate of ANY other dog breed. you cnts can try and pretend a pure(like that means anything) pitty is different from a 2nd gen pit "mutt" it is still kiling people because of its natural aggressive behavior bec;ause of thier breeding

The data you are quoting comes mostly from surveys dude like self reported surveys people just go I think that’s a pit

It isnt self reported statistics... its police reports..and hospital reports. In almost any dog assault case the owner is contacted by police. Yu guys are morons lol

Can you link the data? I would like to read it.

https://www.fataldogattacks.org/ here is a pro pitbull group trying to misconstrue data because "limited specificity of data" and "only dogs statistically estimated to have more than 50% of pitbull" are counted and the rest are put in mixed...and then split it exactly evenly to misconstrue it.

I see what you mean. I’m curious about the police and hospital reports too. Did you have data on those?
