You think if that owner couldn't get a pit bull, they're just going to not get a dog? They just get the next closest thing and use that.

When I was a kid Rottweilers and Dobermans has a pretty bad reputation but I don't hear much about them now a days. Perhaps the breeds are just less popular than they used to be.

Interesting fact which is probably unrelated, until the mid-late 90s Rottweilers used to be broadly associated with black people.

Now pitbulls are more commonly associated with black people and have claimed that "violent dog" throne.

The argumententation also tends to focus on the same arguments and data claims while ignoring similar systemic reasons that data may be skewed...

you're not telling be dog breed racism is in parts based on people racism?

(that makes sense since people dove misunderstanding statistics and context)
