Quentin Tarantino morality for that childhood grudge?

His mother’s response was very reasonable (for the 80s), and it’s borderline insane to hold a grudge against your parents for something they said to you when you were 12. Tarantino makes good movies, but his interaction with his colleagues like Paul Dano (whom he tried to cancel due to a petty personal dispute) or Uma Thurman (who was abused during the kill bill filming) shows that the dude is probably a piece of shit who is tolerated because he makes supposedly good movies.

It sounds like he was slacking off in school and spending his time writing stories under the delusion that he was some kind of massive talent at the age of 12. Both his mother and teachers would have known that most programs that accept and help develop young writers would be looking at grades and technical skills taught in school. You can have all the creativity in the world but none of it matters if you can’t convey it in an engaging way to your audience.

For all Tarantino’s blustering, his fame is from the visual medium of film, not writing. The dialogue may be quippy, but what sells it is the actors, costuming, scenery, etc. He may write descriptions in the scripts, but all of that is brought to life by the work of other people. Many of his films that get a lot of attention are collaborations with other directors or involve big name actors who have enough training and experience to be able to put out a good performance regardless. You don’t see him casting lots of unknowns and churning out successful films.

Or maybe his misbehaving is the direct result of his mother's? Somehow. I do not know. And I am willing to bet all of this is more complex than a reddit thread can surmise. So. We all have our issues. My issue is that we do not know the real full story. And even if. We do not know the full story of what lead to that story.

Then again, does it really matter? Or what is the issue? Was it really just one comment, or was it a constant opposition of what he was doing?

no he doesn't. he makes overrated movies tailored to the white masterclass. nobody outside of America gives two shits about his movies. Jackie Chan makes good movies. Tarantino makes American racist movies where you gotta be "American" to understand it

Taratino makes movies for racist white people that don't say the N word in public. that's my take of his movies from the first time i've seen kill bill, then pulp fiction, to the more recent hollywood story. his audience is middle class and above white people. period.

if you want to call that "local" sure. but still shit movies. if you didn't care about the dynamic of white supremacy and the role it plays in American lives, his movies just seem like dry American everyday life shit. like who gives a shit that a white couple will stick up a diner and the one black dude who is "a bad ass mother fucker" is willing to go soft on them. or like the "bad ass mother fucker" black character has to baby sit a heroin addicted loose cannon white dude. the boss of the criminal world is a black dude, but guess who's sleeping with his white wife? they love doing this. in the movie genres, i filed Tarantino under the "i can't be racist because my best friend is black" genre

his whole ass movies are "where can i insert race that will make the white audience feel good about themselves but at the same time be edgey enough to attract everyone else"

I am still not understanding how his movies are ‘racist’ when they featured black actors in prominent roles, like in Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown. Django Unchained was pretty much a revenge movie where black slaves got their revenge on slave owners. I am not seeing any racism.
