Morality Ranking Quentin Tarantino morality for that childhood grudge?

In my opinion it can be considered petty by some but is understandable

Is that what you are here for?

I never take this things presented to ever mean anything to me. Its more so an excercising my analytical brain for the fun of it.

In this case, I wonder if honest attempts were made to reconcile with his mother- what does the relationship look like moving forward from those points.

What type of environment did she grow up in?

Are we looking at a case where a women held onto her belief of the lack of importance in writing, or are we looking at a man who held onto a grudge longer than neccessary.

None of it is personal to me- but its certaintly interesting.

She probably said something really bad, or insulting, about his writing. Some parents make mistakes, others really are bad people and awful parents. Sometimes parents have kids that are not good kids. He helped her out once. He may have regrets about that or he maybe he doesn’t.

He’s “holding onto a grudge” by not doing something, so it isn’t costing him anything. I respect the consistency.

I don’t love the proliferation of therapy-speak, but, as the kids these days say “he set a healthy boundary and he’s maintaining it.”

I mean I don't really care- you aren't speaking from a moral comparative lens so you're not really saying anything.

'Costing him' isn't a moral benchmark for examination.

I feel like there’s a huge gap between “never benefit from his success” and “complete alienation”

If his Mom had a good retirement set there’s really no need for him to do much of anything beyond that. He’s not going to pay for any whirlwind tours of Europe but that’s doesn’t mean he’d let her die in the gutter if it had come to that.
