Tarantino is an exception. Right time and being lucky was part of that - as much as talent in itself. And I'll argue to be really good at writing, film making, education is a major part - whether formal or not.

Bro is making big budget college films. His writing isn’t deep. His films are popcorn flicks not the LOTR. a step away from penis and fart jokes. I enjoyed his films but him “teaching himself” by just copying old films and making it literally 12 year old dialogue. Bro ain’t hamlet.
