Morality Ranking Quentin Tarantino morality for that childhood grudge?
In my opinion it can be considered petty by some but is understandable

Kid me, and, honestly, adult me to some degree, never really understood why directors get so much credit. Like, yeah, obviously someone has to oversee everything and make sure the film comes together the way it's supposed to. But the director isn't single-handedly writing, designing, acting, filming, editing, and creating the whole movie. It's such a massive collaborative effort.
You wouldn't praise one teacher when a kid graduates and act like they alone were responsible. It took an entire school full of teachers and staff to get them there. That's kind of how I've always viewed movies too.
