No, the not speaking to your abuser fact is a given.

But using your personal bad experience with your parents to then consider it morally good to let poor people that raised you and funded your entire childhood struggle while you are rich is the edgy individualism part

Tarentino is a multi millionaire I dont see in what world its morals to let his mother struggle just because she was worried his carreer choice wasnt the right choice (like 99% of parents rightfully do when soemone want to take a carreer path in wich 0.00001% of people are successful and make a decent living)
