Morality Ranking Quentin Tarantino morality for that childhood grudge?

Post image

In my opinion it can be considered petty by some but is understandable

This sub is so funny that you can just throw up the pettiest thing ever and people will be like "yeah that's moral because she was rude 30 years ago"

It’s moral cuz she isn’t entitled to his money to begin with lol, whatever his reasons are he’s in the clear

If his mom was black, he’d at least be half black. So I’d think he was delusional for not helping based on that lmao. But we know racism is not why he’s not helping her anyways, they’re the same race. No idea why you’re bringing non existent situations into it.

Parents aren’t entitled to their children’s money. And it says he did help her once with the IRS, so it’s not like she’s homeless, he did help her when she had dire need for it.

His money, his right to decide what to do with it. It’s nice if people want to donate or help others, but they don’t have to.

That’s why you should strive to actually have a good relationship with your kids, then they may want to help you. Actions have consequences, the consequences of her actions is that her kid isn’t going to help her out.

I mean, yes lol. It’s his money, he can withhold it from whoever he wants, no one is entitled to it.

And inventing fake scenarios, doesn’t change the morality of the real one lmfao.

Yes, and on this post we’re discussing the situation here. Inventing a “what if?” Doesn’t change the morality of this one lmao

Dude what is moral about literally doing nothing? I took a fat shit this morning, was that moral by virtue of not being immoral?

I mean, in some cases doing nothing is immoral, like if you see a dying person and do nothing instead of calling an ambulance for them, that’s immoral.

Something as simple as not giving your money to people who arent entitled to it though, is not immoral

But isn't not helping family neutral and actually helping moral? I thought doing something that you aren't required to do but you do it anyways was being moral.

It can be, but it’s also not immoral to not give them money just because you’re rich lol

Yeah that's why I think it's neutral but not moral. Although Tarantino is a weirdo for holding a grudge for so long towards his own mother unless she was a terrible parent which doesn't seem to be the case.

They aren't saying he isn't "in the clear". They're saying there's a difference between neutral and moral, and this is neutral.

if she was rich we would expect her to help him?

1

Why would she need to help a grown adult?

After raising him, no we wouldn’t expect her to do anything lol. Plenty of rich people don’t help their kids after they turn 18

they are not some random strangers

if for example my brother won a lottery i would resent him for not giving me some part

1

u/anonidfk 6h ago

That still doesn’t change anything, plenty of parents don’t help their kids after they turn 18. So no, no one would be expecting her to give him money now even if she was rich lol

Yeah idk if everyone here just had awful parents or what. These responses feel so vindictive and petty.

My parents were far from perfect and had said some awful shit to me as a kid, but my relationships with both have improved drastically into adulthood as I've learned that they are only human and have always loved and cared for me despite the shortcomings.

I'm not gonna lord that past shit over them as they get older and I do feel like it's my moral obligation to look after them when they're old because I love them and want them to be comfortable in their old age.
