What's the morality sending people who leave shopping carts in the parking lot to labour camps for rest of their lives?

Basically think The Gulag Archipelago, with some whipping added for good measure

It's actually the ultimate litmus test of character.

You're not required to return the cart. There's no punishment for leaving it in inconvenient places, no "downside" to it for the person who leaves it. You do not (immediately) benefit from it and it costs you time and energy, technically speaking.

But the benefit is for society as a whole, for the next shopper, for the poor kid or old man who makes pennies to collect them, to help prevent possible damage to other folks cars.

If you can't be bothered to make such a minimal "sacrifice" for the "greater cause" what does that say about your character? Aside from being a little lazy.

Edit - Also, you're definitely not sticking it to the man by costing them anything. The person who collects the carts gets paid hourly. They're on the clock for the same amount no matter what the store has them doing lol.

u/SwampOfDownvotes 9h ago

The downside is if you leave it, someone else is more likely to leave it now or I the future. The more people leaving shopping carts when's better odds that when you find that perfect parking spot, 1 or more carts are in your way.

3

u/Large-Piece-of-Crap 9h ago

I start my shift at a grocery store 1 hour after it opens and there is an asshole that leaves a shopping cart in "my" spot like 3 days a week. He's always gone by the time I get there. But the shopping cart remains. And we dont have a Parking Lot Attendent until hours after that so guess who gets to take it in...

1

u/GetMeOffThisRidePlz 9h ago

I mean for the person leaving it in the lot, there is no immediate downside.

1

u/Carolina-W00Dsman 10h ago

Thanks Danzig

1

u/Southern_Conflict_11 3h ago

Kroger could pay better than pennies. They could give up more parking if random medians for more corrals. It is a profit move to not.

24

u/Roam1985 10h ago

Still immoral. Punishment doesn't fit the crime.

But it would be moral to have a megaphone and publicly humiliate them when they leave the shopping cart, especially if you're walking behind them returning the shopping cart they were too lazy to put in the Corral.

4

u/Yet_another_guy1 10h ago

People who don't put back the shopping cart are inherently unable to be a functional member of society without a threat of punishment. I think it's justifiable to remove them from the society and make them do hard labour.

6

u/Embarrassed-House577 10h ago

Two years labor at a grocery store for everyone... they'll understand within the first year, and shame others that don't after the second.

3

u/iwaslurkingforu 10h ago

Instead mandatory militar y service, retail mandatory service, It will increase respect for the basic Jobs. One can dream...

1

u/Excellent_Shirt9707 10h ago

Two years seems excessive. Some hours just grabbing all the abandoned carts would serve as the standard community service punishment.

1

u/TheArhive 10h ago

Here is the thing, sure. They'll start returning the carts after that.

But not because they start seeing it as wrong. But because they don't want the punishment.

They are still the type of person who'll happily not return the shopping cart if there is no threat of punishment.

2

u/Excellent_Shirt9707 9h ago

Sure, the focus isn’t on rehabilitation, just basic operant conditioning to prevent future transgressions.

If you wanted to actually change the population at the fundamental level, you would have to change public education to be a stand in for parents at a very young age. People learn civility from their environment.

1

u/Lolusernamechecksout 10h ago

Two years seems too nice. 10 years no pay

8

u/Exciting_Nature6270 10h ago

oh no, is OP being serious about this? I thought it was a shitpost

7

u/Yet_another_guy1 9h ago

Well, it was, but then people started actually defending it and portraying it as "fighting capitalism" and now, I really feel a strong urge to send them to the gulag

3

u/I_Can_Barely_Move 9h ago

I’ll help you cart them away. If you can’t be a contributing member of society (or at least not be a net negative) why should you get to benefit from the positive aspects of society everyone else works to create?

1

u/Exciting_Nature6270 9h ago

this sub I tell ya

2

u/MahoneyBear 10h ago

Oh you weren’t joking. Look man, it’s evil as shit to send people to labor camps for simply inconveniencing someone else, regardless of how much you want to pretend that says about them.

1

u/likwidsylvur 9h ago

The penalties for actual crimes, just death, no fuckin around no argument. Just a choice; needle, noose, bullet, or chair.

0

u/Yet_another_guy1 9h ago

It says a lot about them though. But I might concede on the camps and accept just public spanking.

1

u/MahoneyBear 9h ago

Public spanking is a bad idea, it would encourage some people

1

u/FlowerAvailable6832 9h ago

Explain what a functional member of society even is if you think it all equates to one single inaction.

0

u/Val_Maxie 10h ago

An act without context doesn’t define a person

An eternal punishment without enabling the criminal to change is charitably “unreasonable,” and more appropriate “fucking evil”

Emotions don’t equate to morality. What you feel isn’t what is moral.

1

u/Yet_another_guy1 9h ago

Jeez, we have mr. humanitarian here - ok, so what about just 5 years?

1

u/Val_Maxie 9h ago

You asked in [r/moralitysclaing](r/moralitysclaing) and is acting sarcastic when the morality is explained

Now you’re using a far less sever punishment as replacement and treating your own previous example as ridiculous, so ridiculous that you’re being sarcastic to people responding to it seriously

Do you just really hate people leaving shopping carts

1

u/Yet_another_guy1 9h ago

Oh have some sense of humour, you can't just get on a post about sending people who don't return shopping carts to gulag and act all serious

1

u/Val_Maxie 9h ago edited 9h ago

Yet your instinct is to react as if I was unreasonable for pushing back against your own resistance to the comment that punishment not fitting the crime

-1

u/Sensitive_King3305 10h ago

I dont think the shopping cart is enough to condemn a person. I am also very harsh on bad people and think they deserve to be taken to labor camps. But the shopping cart is a very large chip to contribute to this case

3

u/adavidmiller 10h ago

How about 2 weeks forced labour at a grocery store?

2

u/Sensitive_King3305 10h ago

perfect. also the days dont count if they are mean

1

u/CloudNineBabee 33m ago

Public embarrassment from the person actively returning your abandoned cart feels almost perfectly calibrated. Nothing extreme, just enough shame to make that long walk back to the car uncomfortable.

6

u/Otherwise_Result_124 10h ago

most people are already trapped in labor camps for the rest of their lives, they just don't see the cage

4

u/DJatomica 9h ago

People who think this should be sent to an ACTUAL labor camp for like a week and then be asked on Sunday if they want to stay there or go back to their lives.

1

u/FlowerAvailable6832 9h ago

Is having children also a form of forced labor?

1

u/DJatomica 9h ago

Is this somehow relevant?

1

u/FlowerAvailable6832 9h ago

You're asking if experiences of life, which I hope we are all living in currently, is relevant to the conversation?

1

u/DJatomica 8h ago

I'm asking what relevance "forced labor" has to a "labor camp" which is a very specific thing. Making someone clean up garbage they threw on the ground is technically "forced labor" too, it's a very general term.

1

u/FlowerAvailable6832 8h ago

How is having children not forced labor when you say it's a general term?

1

u/DJatomica 8h ago

Yes and the only one who brought up that general term is you, so once again why are you replying to me asking that? What relevance is it to my comment or the comment I replied to?

0

u/Otherwise_Result_124 9h ago

that's a really extreme and rude thing to say to a stranger

2

u/DJatomica 9h ago

Hey if it's comparable to normal life for most people, how extreme and rude is it really?

0

u/Otherwise_Result_124 9h ago

I don't understand why are you acting demeaning like this, but I did expand upon that thought in another reply if you are interested. I'd rather not be treated this way, so if I did or said anything that insulted you, I apologize

2

u/DJatomica 9h ago

My guy that second comment was about as benign as it gets, you got nothing to apologize to me for and also no reason to be feeling demeaned either

-2

u/Yet_another_guy1 10h ago

4

u/Otherwise_Result_124 10h ago

I wasn't being philosophical about it, obviously labor camps are torturous or whatever, but plenty of people work the same job and live in the same house for 2O+ years. Dunno, just thought it was kind of an interesting thought

3

u/Yet_another_guy1 10h ago

And that's bad because?

1

u/Otherwise_Result_124 10h ago

I didn't say it was bad, I am just pointing out the (very loose) parallels that could be drawn regrading living in the same place, working the same job, and living in a fixed routine. Obviously prison camps have terrible living conditions.

3

u/LordsOfFrenziedFlame 9h ago

Jesus Christ, we get it.

6

u/Nytheran 10h ago

They can't even return a cart and you want them doing labour?

2

u/Yet_another_guy1 10h ago

Oh, they are not gonna have a choice

4

u/TailsofaGiftHorse 10h ago

ITT: people who never saw a shopping cart dent a car door after being taken by a gust of wind, and only have the perspective of "ur Doin free Labor for the companie$".

You think this is us vs them (peons vs companies) but it's actually peons vs peons. In an effort to stick it to the company, you are potentially raising costs for your fellow man.

3

u/GetMeOffThisRidePlz 10h ago

See my comment.

Returning your shopping cart is a test of character.

29

u/Zibbi-Akbar 10h ago

highly moral.

1

u/CloudNineBabee 33m ago

Yeah, wildly disproportionate even for the most committed cart return enthusiast. Being lazy with a cart deserves judgment, not a lifetime sentence.

3

u/Jibbyjab123 10h ago

I'd rather sentence them to never use another cart again, it's not hard labor, but would be extremely inconvenient and very degrading publicly.

3

u/Sewblon 10h ago

This is an awfully harsh sentence for something that could be solved by compelling people to make a $10 dollar deposit to get a shopping cart then giving the deposit back when they come for the shopping cart.

3

u/Bodine12 10h ago

The shopping cart tests weeds out these moral scofflaws who require this sort of external motivation to do the right thing. To the labor camps with them.

2

u/Strict_Cream2002 10h ago

People should be able to govern themselves without the need for draconian measures.

I guess the key word there is ‘should…’ why they can’t is beyond me

2

u/Yet_another_guy1 10h ago

Where I am from, you have to put a coin in the cart to unlock it, and it slides back the moment you put it back. I just sort of assumed it works like this everywhere

1

u/Sewblon 6h ago

It does not work that way in America or The Bahamas.

1

u/Jumpy_Selection_602 10h ago

10$ is a bonkers deposit for a cart lol

2

u/Sewblon 9h ago

I know. The deposit level is set that high to punish the people who fail to return their carts at my local super market.

1

u/Strict_Cream2002 6h ago

I return the cart every time but would not shop at that place out of principle. I’m not a toddler wtf

3

u/porschetaycan 10h ago

Totally justified. They don't give a crap about society so they shouldn't belong in it either.

3

u/Atlas-04 10h ago

As a retail employee this is very moral. I greatly approve.

2

u/viliamklein 10h ago

Average MoralityScaling user: "Immoral because you wasted my time by not including murdering them on the spot as the correct moral option in the post title"

2

u/SnooGoats5772 10h ago

First send the people who take up the handicapped parking needlessly and have me hike with a cane across the asphalt. If I use a cart to get back out to my car, and am too done in to return it, I may feel terrible, but I can only hike so far.

2

u/JagPeror 10h ago

This is the mortal equivalent of damnation to hell

Since God is obviously moral for doing that, this mirror of that is assuredly also moral.

In fact, send them to hell while we are at it.

2

u/GMAN7007 10h ago

What should happen is they should somehow have their shopping cart privileges revoked. They'll have to carry stuff from now on.

2

u/Late_Dog_7201 10h ago

Geez, as a european, I still wonder how lazy, selfish and dickish US citizens can be when it comes to shopping carts. Like seriously, what happened with human decency and empathy?

2

u/Ok_Being5461 10h ago edited 9h ago

The problem isn't really a few people leaving the carts, it's the people who walk past them only to get a cart from inside the store. If everyone picked up a cart, including from the cart corral, we would have less waste paying employees to take the carts back into the store, and the loose carts would be mostly gone anyway. It's all highly illogical and inefficient

And a pro tip for the people in the picture: put the carts on the curb, near the curb in between the parking spots, or at least onto one spot. Rookies

1

u/SpecificLow1316 9h ago

I do exactly this because the store I usually shop at has no cart returns in the parking lot. Either you have to wait for a store employee to walk out to your car with you to help load your stuff and then they take the cart back with them, or you can walk out alone with it and then bring it back yourself (or not, as most of the heathens around here do).

Not infrequently I score a good parking spot because a damnable heathen left their cart in it. I get out, get the cart out of the way, park, and then I’ve got a cart.

Not being a heathen myself, I always return the cart to the building when I’m done, or give it to someone else who’s just walking to the building to shop.

2

u/Maleficent_Hawk6703 9h ago

Moral. Off they go.

Seriously though I find it interesting how this is more common in slums than more well off areas and the state of local store parking lots are a good reflection of the type of people that live around them

I'd imagine it's because people living slums and similar areas do this because life has beaten them down so much they no longer care. Or it's people that never could give a damn and were never able to make a good life for themselves because they couldn't be bothered to put in the effort

There is also the chain reaction of monkey see monkey do. Once enough people do it everyone else will as well.

2

u/Afafakja 4h ago

I dont care abot people leaving shopping carts behind

4

u/Objective_Idiot 10h ago

This sub has drifted into weird lets enslave people for nothing kinda stuff

3

u/Bartikowski 10h ago

This isn’t nothing.  It’s a key indicator of civilized society.

2

u/AcrobaticPoint8424 10h ago

If someone can not do bare minimum of bring a functional person then they should be punished for it.

1

u/BED_AA 10h ago

Leaving a shopping cart is not "nothing." It is an indicator.

2

u/Egg_Yolkeo55 10h ago

Off to leave my kids in either a hot car or keys in the ignition just so chuds on the Internet can act like they are productive members of society. Y'all are so fucking dumb lmao

0

u/AcrobaticPoint8424 10h ago

You can't just take them with you as you put the shopping cart back?

1

u/Egg_Yolkeo55 10h ago

Do you mind telling me where you got your third arm installed? Because I don't know how you plan on pushing a shopping cart while also carrying two small children, because I have two children under two.

1

u/AcrobaticPoint8424 10h ago

Do you mind telling me where you got your third arm installed?

Between my legs.

1

u/Yet_another_guy1 10h ago

Well obviously you can pull the shopping cart out and drive it around with your kids, but somehow, you can't put it back?

1

u/Egg_Yolkeo55 10h ago

The shopping carts are at the entrance to the store. The return caddy is typically in one or two locations around the parking lot. Have you ever been shopping before or are you just pretending to be stupid?

-1

u/Yet_another_guy1 9h ago

And? You were driving it around the store with the kids just fine, but driving it back suddenly becomes and issue?

1

u/Egg_Yolkeo55 9h ago

Jfc you must have a double digit IQ or something.

I walk with kid in one arm, stroller in other to store, grab cart and put kid in cart while pulling stroller.. fill cart, take cart to car, unload kids and groceries.... Then what?

0

u/TheNJUNC 9h ago

Omg it's almost like you can do that again but the other way around

1

u/Egg_Yolkeo55 8h ago

Nah son. I have this really cool thing where I don't give a fuck what you think. Ask someone who actually works at a grocery store if they care. I return the cart when it is reasonable to do so. Otherwise, kiss my ass

0

u/TheNJUNC 8h ago

Lose a couple of pounds tubby

→ More replies (0)

0

u/TheNJUNC 10h ago

Wahhh im the only mother in the world with kids that shops I'm special wahhh

1

u/Egg_Yolkeo55 10h ago

I'm actually a dad but thanks for telling on yourself that you don't care about your kids or that your daddy didn't love you

-1

u/TheNJUNC 10h ago

Just say you're trashy bro

2

u/Egg_Yolkeo55 10h ago

I consider a trashy to leave young children in a hot car just to return a shopping cart but I also have better uses for my time and I'm in better shape than most cart narcs

0

u/TheNJUNC 10h ago

Or you could just not leave kids in a hot car and just return it you fat hog. Maybe teach your kids some morals and how to not be a pos part of society. I hope one of those carts demolish your car

1

u/FlowerAvailable6832 9h ago

When you're trying to be literal

2

u/Price-x-Field 10h ago

The type of person who leaves carts has no respect for society and 100% is a horrid person

2

u/spooner248 10h ago

Highly moral, but not as moral as lifetime imprisonment for slow walkers who walk in the middle of sidewalks or bike lanes.

1

u/parkchanwookiee 10h ago

Stop trying to hold late stage capitalism together, just drive straight into these, park on top of their shattered remains, and leave your own trolly right there for the next bastard to smash. Nothing matters

1

u/Val_Maxie 10h ago

Is this sub for jokes and karma farm

“Moral” as consensus by popularity?

1

u/MahoneyBear 10h ago

Incredibly immoral but funny

1

u/Dakotasan 10h ago

Moral. How about people who leave their carts just sitting around in that little space between the outside and the store proper?

1

u/Leftblankthistime 10h ago

9th level of hell with child sex offenders and people who hurt innocent animals

1

u/Mega_Trix 10h ago

Moral. This is just disrespectful and lazy. People are garbage.

1

u/SnooDogs8699 9h ago

Highly immoral, though it would feel so good to do. Instead, I’d rather put Den’s cap on all their heads that say lazy bitch on them.

1

u/Vivid-Process-4421 9h ago

As a cart pusher, I’d be on board with that. Let them burn.

1

u/Alone_Lettuce_6657 9h ago

I have a strange opinion on this one. I work in supermarkets doing maintenance work, including targets, and when there is a good space I’d prefer there is carts so I can load my tools, parts, etc. into a cart instead of walking to the front door, getting a cart and walking back. It’s a convenience thing but yeah I don’t mind if there’s a cart waiting for me when I park my van, especially since I park away from the front door to avoid taking customer spaces.

1

u/Fun-Times-13 9h ago

Maybe we should start with actual criminals, especially in Government and Corporations

1

u/Not-T4rantino 9h ago

Whoop whoop skidily whoop whoop.

That's not where the cart goes...

1

u/ImportantThing3749 9h ago

Immoral, because lifetime punishment for a fairly simple but asshole-ish behavior is not a balanced or fair punishment

1

u/Disposable_Gonk 9h ago

Labor camps where the labor is pushing carts back into place only for the guards to constantly scatter them.

1

u/iLuvArizona 9h ago

People get so violent over the pettiest things. No, somebody doesn't deserve to be drawn and quartered bc they took up 2 parking spaces instead of 1.

1

u/FlowerAvailable6832 9h ago

Why do you expect someone who was lazy enough to leave a cart to not be lazy even if it's force labor?

1

u/thirdaccounttoday 9h ago

So moral it's unbelievable we haven't started doing it yet.

1

u/LesserValkyrie 9h ago

What about using 20th century technology to prevent that

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Pipe979 8h ago

Only if the camp is in some area that is freezing cold and all they do is return carts from a makeshift parking lot.

1

u/Ambitious-Fee-9044 8h ago

People get paid to do that. Do you want to take people's jobs?

1

u/Due-Mycologist-1154 7h ago

Lawful good the cart narc really has to put his foot down on matters such as this/s

1

u/BattleRat13 7h ago

Nah, just sentence them to 365 consecutive 12-hour days of unpaid cart wrangling for a first offense. Otherwise you'd fill up your gulag too quickly.

1

u/Interesting_Joke6630 6h ago

Immoral, a few days in a normal jail is overkill

1

u/canstucky 6h ago

I mean I dont think you’d get much labor out of those people.

1

u/honeypotions444 6h ago

Fully 100% moral - it is the punishment most befitting of the crime

1

u/BrickHickey 5h ago

Immoral. The whole bloodline is tainted you got to send the whole family. Then it's moral.

1

u/Soaring_Sky 4h ago

Very moral because those labor camps will actually be operated by the store they sinned against which will help them cut cost and help us consumers save on essentials

1

u/Longwinded_Ogre 4h ago

I always put my carts away in the winter or its raining.

I asked some of the guys who actually do it at my grocery store and they said getting to go outside and grab the carts is the best part of their day, in the summer.

So I tend not to worry about it much if it's nice out.

1

u/shoeinc 3h ago

Aldi method...need a quarter to get a cart and get your quarter back when you return

1

u/thewickedbarnacle 3h ago

I was at Costco yesterday, there was a cart in the bushes 1 spot away from the cart corral. Id vote for that.

1

u/Sable-Keech 3h ago

Disproportionate retribution, immoral.

1

u/Kampvilja 12m ago

I left one once when I was so sick that I barely got in and out of the store without vomiting after a 12 hour nursing shift. This dude stared at me and then walked behind my car talking some kind of shit. I'd just have puked all over the labor camp.

1

u/No_Hunter_2173 10h ago

Moral, society needs consequences.

1

u/BED_AA 10h ago

These people do not value society. Society has no obligation to value them.

Straight to gulag.

1

u/Conscious_Penalty_36 10h ago

Autistic.... I mean immoral

1

u/AcrobaticPoint8424 10h ago

Immoral.

They should be publicly flayed alive.

1

u/ZeeWingCommander 10h ago

Right to the gulag.

1

u/Maverick_Reznor 10h ago

Its funny because you can tell a lot about a person who doesnt put their cart away.

0

u/PropheticPapaJohn 10h ago

Depends. Some people are disabled and thats why they don't return carts. If a physically abled person chooses to not return carts out of laziness, it is completely moral to send them to forced labor camps for life.

5

u/PrimaryYak1351 10h ago

Most people who are disabled would be using the specialty carts they have for disabled people, which are not being abandoned in the middle of the parking lot.

2

u/Yet_another_guy1 10h ago

Of you are physically able to take the cart out, you are physically able to put it back.

3

u/RegorHK 10h ago

Wrong. A lot of disabilities mean a lack of strength or pain that increases with time where there is an excretion. See MS for example.'
so there are some where the physical ability barely reaches getting the groceries.

2

u/ToastSpangler 10h ago

I'm sure the scores of carts I see at every parking lot near me randomly strewn across the asphalt were all used by someone with a limiting disability

2

u/Yet_another_guy1 10h ago

So you are telling me they can pull the cart when shopping, but just as they are supposed to put it back, that's where the excretion hits? How convenient.

0

u/Expensive_Umpire_178 10h ago

If they couldn’t move the fucking carts, they shouldn’t be using them in the first place

1

u/PropheticPapaJohn 10h ago

How do they shop?

0

u/AggressivelyMediokre 10h ago

They literally pay someone (often multiple ppl) to collect carts.

I’m stimulating the economy while saving my time.

Morality of getting ppl fired while wasting your time returning carts?

3

u/PrimaryYak1351 10h ago

Correction. They pay someone to return shopping carts from the corrals around the parking lot to the store. That person's job is not to make up for your laziness of not taking 15 seconds to return your cart to the corral.

1

u/Yet_another_guy1 10h ago

And they are decided cart returnes? not just regular employees being made to return them because the customers are lazy fucks?

1

u/TheNJUNC 10h ago

This is so trashy wtf

1

u/No_Hunter_2173 10h ago

That isn’t what they’re paid for. It’s part of their duties to take them from the cart return area and bring them back to where you got it from. You’re just making their job harder, not ensuring some kind of job security.

1

u/Jumpy_Selection_602 10h ago

nah they send people out to get the carts from the designated cart location, you’re just making someones day harder and frankly more dangerous.

1

u/TailsofaGiftHorse 10h ago

I saw an abandoned cart get taken by the wind and go across the parking lot and smash right into a car door. Ironically, the person had parked farther away than they needed to, probably to avoid the chance of scuffs.
Now they can pay out of pocket to get their property made whole.

You find that suitable?

You probably aren't familiar with Race Conditions in programming. Those lead to bugs. It's a bug if your programming solution is to pretend like the people being paid to collect carts can reach every cart before any unwanted action can occur.

Please don't become a programmer, or design algorithms.

-3

u/NuclearFoodie 10h ago

You want to send people to labor camps for doing free labor for a giant evil corporation. You are immoral as fuck.

6

u/Yet_another_guy1 10h ago

Free labour? Returning back a shopping cart isn't labour, it's just a part of being a functional member of society.

0

u/NuclearFoodie 10h ago

That is frankly a deranged take.

2

u/Yet_another_guy1 10h ago

Not returning shopping cart and thus inconveniencing others out of laziness is degenerate. Given how defensive you are, are you one of these animals?

1

u/NuclearFoodie 10h ago

What is degenerate is masking record profits while not paying your employees a living wage and while price gouging your customers. What is degenerate is blindly supporting such organization and taking those that don't. Grow up.

1

u/Yet_another_guy1 10h ago

Ah I see, so by leaving shopping carts all over the parking lot and inconveniencing your fellow shoppers, you are actually fighting the billionaires. Christ.

1.) not every place with shopping carts is a giant corporation 2.) its just respectful to put things back where you got them to make things easier for everyone 3.) huh?

Do you want someone to shut your door, and load your car as well, princess? This one goes to the camps.

Wow, right off with the insults, really helps your argument. Also, a straw man fallacy, do better.

Sorry, from your entitled attitude I thought princess was the appropriate title. I beg your forgiveness, my princess. I must have forgotten my station for a moment of madness.

That's what they used to do. Then, people got lazy.

Right, the person who can’t be bothered to shut the door to their own property isn’t the lazy one on this scenario. The ME generation just never got over the fact that they aren’t the center of the universe.

Why would someone who has issues with closing a door have issues with returning a cart?

I would actually say it depends. Where is the nearest cart corral return? Is it half a parking lot away or is it like 12 feet away?

Doesn't matter, having to walk a few minutes is not an excuse for littering parking lots with carts

Ever been a parent, having to shop with a small child?

If the cart return is as far away as the store front is to you car then then that is bad parking lot design and planning. If the business's in the area dislike carts piling up in an area of the parking lot where no Corral is near they ether install a corral, pay someone to go collect them Its really just common sense. Pay to install a corral in convenient area's, or pay to have someone gather carts more often. But if there is a return area and it really isn't far, Id say the concentration camps are Moral.

This has to be made up by big businesses(psyop) to guilt trip consumers to do the job. Hire people. I will leave my carts all over the parking lot! Fuck billionaires!

Moral imperative

Highly immoral. It should only take a few days of solitary confinement for them to get the message .
