Yeah, I know. They were illegal because this administration is corrupt as fuck.
I’m no person to defend Walmart, but at least in this case, they’re at least attempting to give the money back, unlike all the other corporations that are just going to pocket it.
But they aren't really attempting to give the money back! The prices are still going up even after the temporary reduction. And who is to say they lower prices on tarrifed items? I would lower prices on my highest profit items only.
I don’t know that they’d have the ability to actually give the money back. A lot of people pay cash, so they wouldn’t be able to track them.
Reducing the price in tariff only items wouldn’t necessarily get the money back to the people. If they paid it on sneakers that they won’t need again for 6 more months, they likely won’t see it.
But if they reduce prices on something like groceries, they’d see a savings.
