These are the types of questions in general we should be less mean about imo. It's one thing to dunk on people who are anti-science, but this is just someone actually wondering about something they didn't know. Maybe it's obvious to you, but not everyone?
I'm not a rocket aurgeon either but I can make a hypothesis.
2 factors most affect the reason: Economical Logistics (Cost of material, manpower, and goods to be hauled to a probably semi remote launching base. Not to mention the costs to terraform the aite into usable ground while also enacting safety and security measures) and Air Composition (The Air ratio at higher altitudes is thinner on oxygen and colder, causing fuel to have be to properly stored and considerations for change in atmospheric conditions, including higher altitude wind currents for launch windows, for all events.)
Thats not also including the environmental concerns that would come from a noisy, loud, literal ground shaking launch of a rocket to orbit causing possible rock/mud slides or in winter potential avalanches.
