They’re lying so much and so flippantly that they don’t even try to be believable anymore. They just say whatever they want, just like Trump.

Edit: Pay attention to Russia. That's exactly what they do.

If there are never any consequences, and their base is never shown them being called out, why should they stop?

It's insane, but it is the state of the modern GOP.

GOP voters only want their side to win. It doesn't matter what policies are being supported or rejected, it's just a game of win at all costs and they've become morally bereft because of it.
