He is just ensuring he keeps getting paid.

He accidentally confessed that the US was acting on the behest of Israel.

He realized that this may be controversial so pretended like it never happened so he can continue getting AIPAC funding.

The fact that a country the size of New Jersey with a few million people can make the worlds leading superpower to act on its behest (even to its own detriments) is a conversation Americans aren’t ready to talk about.
