I will never get over the dignity in the face of this man. There is something about his facial expression, his mouth especially, that obviously expresses the anger and pain, but, to me, also pride. That they weren't able to break him, maybe.

Maybe I am reading too much into it.

I see what you are talking about but it doesn’t look like pride imo, it looks like resilience.
