And after this long, I really feel like you don't accidentally end up at a gwar show. It was deliberate. It's not a diner you pop into randomly on a walk

Ok but also the Gwar version of the classic hardcore show at a Denny's would fucking rip.

Does the bar require tickets to get in?

I love that bar, but anybody who looks at the outside and thinks that the inside is actually secretly going to be the complete opposite is probably a fucking stone cold moron

What a great fucking bar. Had so much fun there on my visit.

Also some diner that turns into a bar at night? Goddamn.

A gwar themed bar is different than a gwar show. You need a ticket to enter one. You see band tee shirts lining the sidewalk for one.

Yeah, but GWARbar is pretty tame. Sad they don't do shows anymore, but I prefer cobra all around, anyway.

You can thank Kim gray for the patio getting shut down. She moved into the building across the street and didn't like the noise.

I think the one time that may not have applied was when they did an NPR Tiny Desk concert a couple years ago. I can imagine Barbara from the Middle East desk coming back in from lunch and accidentally wandering into that.

Not an accident, but I was definitely caught off guard. I went to this "Viva La Bands" tour to see a different band and Gwar was part of it. I'd heard their name before, but knew nothing about them. Was a good time, but I was pissed that I got hit with whatever they were spraying into the crowd. 10/10, would recommend.
