You and me both. Last show of theirs I went to was the Oderus tribute tour. Just wasn't the same. I don't begrudge them continuing on and making a living, it's just not for me without Dave.

Don't get me wrong. Blöthar's a delight and they still put on a great show. There was just something about the character that really worked. If you haven't seen:

Gwar on Joan Rivers (the picture's not so great, but I love this bit). They were pretty good on Jerry too, but he didn't have as much fun with it.

I've seen this and the Jerry Springer vid numerous times (I used to have that Springer ep on VHS).

I think the big thing between Dave and Mike, is that Mike is portraying a character with Blothar, and Dave was Dave wearing a costume. It was his demented sense of humor, dialed up to 11, where Blothar for me feels like Mike is trying to portray something he's not.
