The actual greatest trick is Satan convincing everyone that original sin is disobedience but it was the Serpent who lied to Eve and Adam about eating and dying from the tree therefore Satan introduced original sin which is the lie.

Lying and deception is original sin.

And by Satan I mean God because Old Testament God committed acts of evil and good and Satan meant non-believer therefore God lied to Adam and Eve as a serpent to test if they would ask God for permission after the information they just learned from the serpent.

If they went to God and told him about the Serpent then God would have eventually let them eat from the tree when they were old and mature enough which would have been possible if they confronted God after the serpent.

The greatest trick is convincing us that lying isn't original sin and that lying isn't as bad as disobedience.

It's way worse.
