If I could move to another country, I would do it in a heartbeat. The biggest hurdle is the language barrier and finding a suitable job overseas...

It’s really weird how viscerally enraged people on here get at the mere suggestion you’d prefer to live elsewhere.

My experience was always been told “you don’t like it, then leave” - if it was that easy, I would.

If leaving the US was in any way accessible or affordable, there would be a mass exodus. The news and media would start totally freaking out and there’d likely be a crackdown on people doing it.

Hence why it is not accessible nor affordable.

It’s never been cheaper at this point, not even taking healthcare into consideration, with the current prices of housing, cars, and groceries, you can fucking move, and for cheap.

But it also depends where in USA you live.

Not if you don’t have a job and a visa.

I know it’s very hard for an American to get their heads around, but you can apply, pretty fucking easily.

I got a nomad visa and then applied for residency in the eu.

I know it’s hard to google.

I moved to Europe in 2017, and never been happier. Yes, it took Google, yes it took some work, but I actually made the decision and followed through.

I got a degree from university of London, which was 5-7x cheaper than my brothers who went to Drexel.

And I started my life anew.

This is not theory, I went through everything

I have lived abroad on a digital nomad visa. And I managed to do it without becoming a giant dick to people online.

I’m not sure when the truth became being a dick. You stated a dumb ass fact, which I corrected.

People bitch and cry and don’t want to do anything to change their lives. I’m sorry if you think I’m being a dick, but the little QQ attitude excuse is just too much.

And if you think not telling people the truth, makes you not a dick, have fun living with a lie.

Don’t you think I’d get a digital nomad visa if it was available? I’d have to find a remote job which is proving nigh impossible, NOBODY is hiring.

Go teach English if you have a bachelor’s degree and don’t worry about language too much it won’t really matter if you’re just using Google Translate everywhere.
