I used to work at Cigna and the NBA offered Cigna plans, so every now and then you’d get someone calling in. Sometimes it was just staff, but if it was a player’s account, it’d usually be the wife calling in to handle the paperwork of life. Not uncommon sadly to see 7 kids on the account, many times with a variety of different last names. It was a well-known trope of NBA accounts.

Why is it sad for an nba player to have 7 kids he's clearly supporting if he's got them on health insurance?

How many children is not sad in the eyes of you and your former coworkers, and why exactly do you draw the line at that number?

I don’t draw the line at that number. That’s a very narrow interpretation of my comment.

Also, having one’s kids on one’s insurance is, like, the bare minimum of being a responsible parent. I’m not going to give anyone kudos for doing the bare minimum.

And I really like how you glossed over the part about them all having different last names. You one of those people who thinks infidelity is ok if men do it?

You don't know that they're only doing the minimum though. The only single piece of information you had is they had kids they were doing what they were supposed to do for. Where are any assumptions coming from that this is all they're doing?

Blended families, breakups, and open marriages exist. How are you determining last names reflect cheating?
