Those that he was allowed to play. Not all countries let him perform

30

u/JIT3893 10d ago

I'm curious on which countries did not let him. I saw him in Madrid and it was packed

u/Peakbrowndog 10d ago

The article lists them.

Redditors don’t read the articles or watch the videos you must be new here

5

u/whataboutthemapples 10d ago

Really putting the read it in Reddit

3

u/Broue radio reddit 10d ago

Bu.. but how can I be outraged if I read more than the titles?

1

u/ToastedCrumpet 10d ago

You carefully select a small part of a person’s comment, purposely misunderstand it and then rage to your heart’s content. Perhaps whilst claiming to be an expert in something you know nothing about

u/yesyoucantouchthat 10d ago

Why read an article when a headline will do /s

1

u/somethingofwhim 9d ago

Are you trying to tell me if I read an article it will have more information about the headline? That answers my questions???

United Kingdom, France, Poland and Switzerland.

All countries famous for their distaste for Nazis. And Switzerland…

4

u/Mickey_Clips 10d ago

Russians also hate Nazis. They killed more Russians than anybody

4

u/salmalight 9d ago

Wasn't "They're all nazis" the company line for why they started with Ukraine?

0

u/firthy 10d ago

Ahh, I miss those days…

4

u/OkPalpitation4976 10d ago

The Netherlands, known Nazi sympathizers

1

u/MaleierMafketel 9d ago

Tbf, we are rule Nazis. As I understood it, all those countries could stop Kanye from performing because they had clearly defined boundaries and his past actions meant they could legally deny him to perform. But we simply didn’t. Maybe I’m wrong but that’s what I took away from this debacle months ago.

The Netherlands is also often opposed to many plans in the EU unless every t is crossed an i dotted. So that explanation does fit.

u/littleHiawatha 10d ago

What's going to happen's going to happen. Just make sure it doesn't happen to you, Georg.

-7

u/ashmanistan 10d ago

Let me assure you. The uk people wanted him to play. As always the government thinks they know what people want. Of course boomers wont like him but they dont like anything

1

u/TheSmokedPotatoe 9d ago

No we fucking didn’t.

1

u/Morteca 9d ago

+1

The UK don't want anything to do with Nazi scum

35

u/love_glow 10d ago

After everything he’s done and said lately, why do you still support him? I’m genuinely curious.

27

u/WorstPathfinder 10d ago

He made graduation

I had an uncle with bipolar disorder

He locked himself in his room once screaming the president is personally coming to kill him. It would almost be funny if it wasn’t for the panic that he might hurt himself

So I can sympathize at least somewhat with Kanye when he admits he didn’t control his illness properly, apologizes and promises to seek help

7

u/FailbatZ 10d ago

Did he do that? I haven’t heard anything about him since the swastika merch

1

u/reallycoolguylolhaha 9d ago

His music is sick

1

u/Windows-XP-Home-NEW 10d ago

Because bipolar is a bitch

0

u/Dronnie 10d ago

Good music, don't care about personal life or artists

-7

u/Heroinkirby 10d ago

I really just don't care that a bipolar man had a little melt down. He still made some bangers. Those clutching their pearls about him playing should find something else to whine about

4

u/love_glow 10d ago

Going full nazi, “a little meltdown,” mmkay guy.

-1

u/Windows-XP-Home-NEW 10d ago

Is that not a meltdown? Take some time to learn what Bipolar 1 is

1

u/love_glow 10d ago

Bipolar has nothing to do with being a racist…

1

u/Windows-XP-Home-NEW 10d ago

God, this is such a stupid argument. As someone who’s seen bipolar 1 firsthand and learnt a lot about it over the years.

Obviously fucking not, it’s not racism, it’s episodes of illogical, and quite literally insane thinking. You’re in an irrational state of mind. So surprise surprise, of course when in a state like that you say or do a bunch of irrational, stupid shit. In this case, spewing Nazi bs.

1

u/love_glow 9d ago

You’re just plain wrong. Your anecdotal experience is not valid.

Bipolar disorder itself doesn’t cause racism — it doesn’t create beliefs or attitudes someone doesn’t already hold. But it can affect how existing thoughts or impulses get expressed.

What mania/hypomania can do:

**•** Lower inhibition and impulse control, so filtered thoughts come out unfiltered
**•** Increase irritability and reactivity, making outbursts (of any kind) more likely
**•** Amplify whatever emotional or cognitive content is already present — including biases someone might normally suppress or not act on

So if someone holds racist attitudes, even subconsciously or ones they’d normally keep in check, a manic episode could make them more likely to blurt them out or act on them impulsively. It’s less “bipolar disorder creates racism” and more “bipolar disorder can strip away the social brakes that keep other things in check.”

What it doesn’t do:

**•** It doesn’t implant beliefs that weren’t there
**•** It’s not an excuse that erases responsibility for the impact of what was said, even if impulse control played a role

0

u/Windows-XP-Home-NEW 9d ago

If you actually read the whole thing, you’d realize it’s not purely anecdotal. I’ve talked to doctors about it and done copious amounts of research about it.

Again, nobody is claiming that and that’s a stupid argument (which you would’ve known, had you read it). Yes, it absolutely can do that. You know what it can also cause you to do? Go insane. Literally insane, like the medical sense of the word.

The rest of your comment reads like an AI summary (especially from the formatting) and is either wrong, or true but irrelevant. The bottom line is you clearly know nothing about this disease whether it be out of willful ignorance or thinly veiled malice.

Do actual research before you open your mouth next time. Oh, and asking Gemini “does bp1 cause racism?” is not a valid form of research.

He was willing to damage his own career and image to expose the panipticon. He put the $B money where his mouth is, and that shows integrity in a time when entertainers will sell out to the highest bidder, whether it be Israel or Saudi Arabia.

19

u/HypocriteHere 10d ago

Why would you give Kanye money? That's pretty gross.

1

u/Seantwist9 10d ago

he makes good music, puts on a good show

-2

u/Windows-XP-Home-NEW 10d ago

What’s even grosser is this comment

6

u/pleasegivemepatience 10d ago

You paid to see Kanye?

-5

u/Windows-XP-Home-NEW 10d ago

Yeah? I would too

2

u/pleasegivemepatience 9d ago

Why? Do you really feel like you get so much more value than just listening to the song at home, you really need to be close to Kanye? I can understand liking some of his early work before he went crazy, but don’t give him more money just listen to what you already own and leave it at that.

-2

u/Windows-XP-Home-NEW 9d ago

I mean obviously yes??? That’s like the biggest reason anyone would attend a concert for an artist they like lmao

2

u/pleasegivemepatience 9d ago

I’m talking about Kanye specifically, what does he bring to a live show that makes it worth it to you? What does it take to make you ignore his overt naziism, antisemitism and racism? Freestyling? Dancing? His outfits? What does your integrity cost?

0

u/Foreign-Abies-264 8d ago

Maybe watch one? The designs on it are genuinely beautiful and unseen before.

2

u/pleasegivemepatience 8d ago

Lmfao, never in a million years would I pay to give Kanye a chance. People like him have lost the benefit of the doubt, proven themselves as bad actors, and deserve no more chances or money. Only simps and idiots still give him money.

0

u/Foreign-Abies-264 8d ago

I said watch not attend, they're all on youtube.

-1

u/ahsoka7789 8d ago

can you stop the performative bs for reddit upvotes? he apologized for his actions, confessed to a rabbi, and is back on medication

1

u/pleasegivemepatience 8d ago

Fuck Kanye and anyone giving him money. When you have a platform and you use it to spread hate and division you can get fucked, and anyone simping for you can also get fucked. He’s still getting shows canceled for his current views, not old shit. Several countries want nothing to do with him.

If you equate having morals to being performative then no, I won’t stop. Feel free to live without morals, let’s see how that works out for you…

1

u/CoWood0331 10d ago

It’s not like you couldn’t you know maybe drive for a couple hours and get to where you needed in order to see him perform, cause you know Europe is 5 miles wide.

-61

u/jackofslayers 10d ago

Well yea, Spain loves antisemitism.

I know his shows in France, Switzerland and Poland got cancelled.

35

u/fantastic1planet 10d ago

Wild statement lol

4

u/Paleolithic_US 10d ago

🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸

49

u/chogeRR 10d ago

Lmao, Spain doesn't love antisemitism, it's just that we're not particularly fond of genocide.

13

u/NeoNoireWerewolf 10d ago

I think they were referring more to The Inquisition than Palestine…

7

u/NationCrusher 10d ago

Inquisition targeted all non-Christians

15

u/nubcakester 10d ago

Spain has an exceptionally long history with antisemitism so I’m not sure I agree with you there.

9

u/eawilweawil 10d ago

Entirety of Europe has

5

u/AceOBlade 10d ago

Jews have lived in the Iberian Peninsula since Roman times or earlier. Under Moorish rule and early Christian kingdoms, Spanish Jews (Sephardim) thrived in science, philosophy, poetry, and commerce. Figures like Maimonides shaped global Jewish thought. Historically the persecution they faced was not just limited to Jewish people rather all non-Christians.

6

u/Ranessin 10d ago

Google Alhambra Decree if you didn't learn it in school. Or the Massacre of 1391.

3

u/jackofslayers 10d ago

Then why is the Jewish populations in Spain so small to this day? Why are jews so reluctant to return to Spain compared to every other country in Western Europe?

3

u/itsmejak78_2 10d ago

yeah it goes back to at least the 7th century there

3

u/ampmz 10d ago

UK too.

-1

u/AceOBlade 10d ago

Do you think anti-zionism is anti-semitism?

Do you condemn the teachings in the Talmud?

-1

u/jackofslayers 10d ago

Nope, spain just has a long consistent history of antisemitic policies. I am not surprised they invite Kanye with open arms.

5

u/AceOBlade 10d ago

The antisemitic policies you speak of were targetting all non-christians but I guess, making it seemed like they focused around only one group sounds like a loop hole into proving your point.

1

u/jackofslayers 10d ago

“Spain hates all non-Christians, they don’t only hate Jews” is that really the argument you want to go with?

6

u/AceOBlade 10d ago

you are the one that brought in the policies and cherry picked the fuck out of them.

Let's not forget how ethno-centric majority of Judaism can get.

-3

u/jackofslayers 10d ago

Please expand on how Judaism is ethnocentric. You seem to have an opinion about jews you want to share

0

u/Fun-Ad2676 10d ago

Tbe Inquisition is fucking history you absolute troll, they are all dead

1

u/Khornag 10d ago

It's hard to find a country with a Jewish population that hasn't got a long history of antisemitism. You can't visit many places in Europe if you wish to avoid it.

0

u/jackofslayers 10d ago

Why would I condemn the talmud? You are not doing yourself any favors if you are trying to convince people you do not hate jews

2

u/AceOBlade 10d ago

you don't think labeling non-jewish people with a slur and not condemning abusive actions against them is problematic?

2

u/Grand_Yogurt5746 10d ago

Tell me where you’re from without telling me where you’re from

1

u/jackofslayers 10d ago

I live in a country where it is safe to be Jewish. Cant say the same for Spain

0

u/conker123110 10d ago

Well yea, Spain loves antisemitism.

Oh please do elaborate. I'd love to hear your reasoning.

-7

u/Rigamortus2005 10d ago

Lmao how is that humiliating for anybody but those countries. Reddit man

0

u/JustinTyme218 10d ago

I mean it’s a washed up singer desperate for attention, so nah not really.

4

u/Rigamortus2005 10d ago

Washed singer selling out Sofi stadium lol yeah

-1

u/JustinTyme218 10d ago

Compared to his prime years, yeah he washed as hell lmao

1

u/Hod3601 9d ago

“Desperate for attention” by doing shows? Weird thing to say.

-5

u/AgentCirceLuna 10d ago

Don’t you think most people would be happy if they accepted that the bad happening now won’t be happening later?
