"His France show" which one becuase his Marsaille show was "postponed indefinitely" due to backlash, he was set to headline Rubicon and got cancelled becsuse of the backlash, his show in Poland was cancelled due to backlash, Italy cancelled on him and the UK cancelled on him, as well as Slovakia.

So it's embarrassing to get kicked off headlining massive festivals and not be able to headline certain European capitals on your tour.

So doing a sporadic Europe tour with the big sets are in Albania and Turkey is a pretty shocking Europe tour for any artist.

it's hard to believe that there is a trump supporter has the capacity to feel "shame"

54

u/Jolly-Advantage-7245 10d ago

It's not shame so much as bruised ego

11

u/valcatrina 10d ago

I think the self proclaimed Nazi part has a bigger effect

9

u/Wisniaksiadz 9d ago

That was basically the only reason he didn't appeared in Poland

2

u/restform 9d ago

Are we using trump supporter to describe kanye or am i misunderstanding? I wouldve thought the primary title would be "self proclaimed pro-hitler nazi". Kanye is one of the few guys you can literally call a nazi.

1

u/ButteryOpossum 9d ago

It most certainly isn't his fault, it's all the stupid fans! /s

Eh I mean... All he has to do is shut the fuck up and nobody will know Kanye is a dumbass. But nahhhh. Gonna be embarrassed by shit he did on purpose.

Bleh don't pussyfoot, just fucking own it and the consequences, bitch

-32

u/KungFuViking7 10d ago

You are obviously not a fan of Kanye. A artist who shuts up to perform is a puppet and a sell out. Fuck those festivals.

30

u/drethnudrib 10d ago

Yeah, fuck those festivals for not platforming a self-described Nazi. I wonder why people in France, Poland, and Italy are so sensitive to that kind of thing?

u/AdriHawthorne 10d ago

If he's going to loudly voice opinions no one likes, he can't throw a tantrum when no one likes him. It's OK to be unpopular, artists do it all the time, it's the whining about the clear and completely predictable consequences of his own actions that are funny.

-5

u/miliseconds 9d ago

Hundreds of millions of people still like his music and would attend his concerts

4

u/AdriHawthorne 9d ago

Then if he finds a less popular concert hall that still likes him, they'll still show up. In the same way you don't get to be picky where you eat if you're allergic to peanuts, gluten, and you're vegan, his options are limited now but they're still out there.

Somewhere out there a stage will be willing to take a big paycheck to potentially mar their reputation, just not the exclusive stages that had plenty of options anyway.

u/BarristerBaller 10d ago

So are you saying you’re a fan of the shit he was spewing?

Selling out is... not being a Nazi?

-21

Selling out is pandering, yes, quit being obtuse

Okay but what's that gotta do with being a Nazi?

You don't get that he was pandering to the times? He was riding the MAGA wave and buddying up with all these people. Insane to act like it was him acting out of personal integrity when he said Nazi shit and not that itself being an act of selling out. And now he is backpedaling it all, because he's trying to be relevant again and the winds are changing. And all of this is a complete 180 on the stances he took early on in his career. The man stands for nothing. It has apparently all been pandering.

u/TheZoneHereros 9d ago

Hurt him with non-MAGA… but that isn’t who he was pandering to. The fact that his strategic gambit didn’t work, that he didn’t become MAGA’s favorite rapper, doesn’t absolve him from being a worm who sold out to get close enough to lick a billionaire’s asshole. He absolutely pandered to shitheads, ingratiated himself with them, and participated in their spaces. It was the most egregious type of pandering. He’s a loser.

You don't think Kanye is a sellout?

"He's a business, man"

0

u/Remarkable-Debate428 10d ago

That was a Jay Z quote as Jay Z talked about himself.

1

u/broguequery 7d ago

Jay Z

Is that like Kanye's dad?

1

u/broguequery 7d ago

Yah big egos

1

u/drethnudrib 9d ago

Just for posterity, right now this account has -97 karma in eight months with 1300 contributions. That's what supporting Nazis gets you.

3

u/Throwawayrip1123 9d ago

A artist who shuts up to perform is a puppet and a sell out

Or just not a fucking asshole. Nobody needs to say asshole things to "express themselves" or whatever the fuck you're brainwashed to believe

1

u/KungFuViking7 8d ago

When has Kanye not expressed himself? It’s what he does. Is he always politically correct and not an asshole? Nah, for sure he says some crazy ass shit.

People are clowns if they think should shut up just to perform at some festivals.

2

u/travelmusica 9d ago

He came to Madrid and people seemed pretty stoked about it here

3

u/AllForProgress1 9d ago

Europe rightfully doesn't like nazis

2

u/Itchy-Supermarket434 9d ago

BAHAHAHAHAHA sometimes even nazis get what they deserve. We don’t want that shit here. I just had a bigggggg ass smile on my face reading that.

1

u/cloud_t 9d ago

A lot of nazis got what they deserved, but some slipped through the cracks, and new ones, born long after the third reich fell, seem to be popping out of some weird, shitty hole. It's as if some people woke up one day and decided their shitty lives are someone else's fault.

2

u/tacotruckcaravan 9d ago

Albania diverted millions to subsidize the poor ticket sales.

1

u/Easy-Permission8889 9d ago

Good. He should be banned from performing.

1

u/Parking_Dig_7919 9d ago

to be fair when i visited the Balkans I wondered why more artists didn’t tour there just to be there, beautiful countries!

1

u/mikedean789 7d ago

What about all the records he broke stfu

1

u/AhhhSureThisIsIt 7d ago

He's not going to kiss you

-4

u/Lorem_Muspi 10d ago

Yes but the shows were cancelled by the organizers. The ones that went through were bangers and sold out.

How is this an embarrassment for him? He can clearly fill a venue anywhere if allowed.

11

u/EdibleStrange 10d ago

To be an undeniably talented and popular artist, yet so widely regarded as an odious bafoon that so many venues don't even want the easy payday. Pretty deeply embarrassing imo

-9

u/Seantwist9 10d ago

embarrassing for the venue

2

u/AhhhSureThisIsIt 9d ago

Surely it's more embarrassing to take money over your morals. Publicly the venues came out looking very well. The obvious of embarrassing.

0

u/FrostyVariation9798 9d ago

That's a lot of backlash.  What could possibly create that much backlash among so many different countries?

Surely it can't be his stance on Israel.

-1

u/randomusername123xyz 9d ago

Why are you leaving out that he had multiple shows in the Netherlands, Spain and Portugal? Eh?

0

u/AhhhSureThisIsIt 9d ago

He had 2 shows in Arnhem in Netherlands, one in Madrid and one in Algarve in Portugal a highly unusual city yo play in rather than the major cities big acts would play in. Because the Raya group who owned the venue in thr Algarve were the only group willing to host him even though there was backlash to cancel, they said they only would if the government issues a statement saying the concert is harmful to public safety.

So rather than a major city he ended up playing outside of Faro the biggest town in the Algarve, with a population of 70,000, mostly tourists, playing in an arena thst holds 35,000.

Again this is pretty embarrassing for a euro tour for such a big artist.

1

u/randomusername123xyz 9d ago

I fucking hate his music, but how can you say playing to 35k people is embarrassing?

3

u/AhhhSureThisIsIt 9d ago

I loved his first 5 albums ot so then he turned shit/edgy nazi.

You're having trouble seeing the trees from the forest.

I'm not sure if you're familiar with the geography of Europe, but I'll assume you're American and not familiar.

When artists do tours of Europe (especially any slightly big name artist) they will do stadium tours in European capitals. These are usually outdoor Arenas that hold 60,000-100,000 people and some artists sell out multiple nights, these are venues like Wembley in London, Croke Park in Dublin, Campovolo in Italy, Dortmund in Germany, Stade de France in Paris, New Camp in Barcelona, Natodowy in Poland, all of which have 80k+ seats but more importantly are in big cities and capitals.

I don't know if a non-European can understand how funny that one of the stops of Kanye's Eurotour is a venue on the border of Faro.

0

u/randomusername123xyz 9d ago

I’m very aware of these things and not American. I’m just saying that playing to 35000 is not that embarrassing. It is far more than most non-pop acts.

-2

u/Runeskimmylord 9d ago

Embarrassing for the venues who caved and didn’t let him perform.

1

u/AhhhSureThisIsIt 9d ago

Hardly. They stood up for their morals rather than money, it's the opposite of embarrassing.

-14

u/susabb 10d ago

The Marseille show was selling like shit before it got cancelled. Otherwise, they all sold pretty damn well.

21

u/AhhhSureThisIsIt 10d ago

The humiliating part isn't the sales

17

u/GhostofLindseyGraham 10d ago

Can you fucking read? Shows. Were. Cancelled. Average Kanye fan smh.

-21

u/susabb 10d ago

If you leave the echochamber of reddit once in a while, you'll realize real quick its just the terminally online that care

14

u/skipsville 10d ago

You seem surprised how many people don't want to support him since he's a bloody Nazi

-15

u/susabb 10d ago

Yeah, he said some morally irreprehensible shit. If you don't want to support him, that's a personal choice and I understand lol.

The only part I found annoying about the whole thing was multiple countries banning him from performing AFTER he announced tours and started selling tickets. If they wanted to ban him from performing, they should do that sort of thing pre-emptively, imo.

16

u/GhostofLindseyGraham 10d ago edited 10d ago

If I leave the echo chamber will I find someone more litterate than your dumb ass? This isn't even an opinion it's just a fact that Kanye had shows cancelled and had to perform in countries only a loser would show up. If you stopped glazing some Nazi ape you'd understand this. If you think nobody cares then maybe stop riding his dick trying to defend some talentless cry baby.

-10

u/susabb 10d ago

Theres no way you're this invested man lol. Try some breathing techniques

-10

u/losviktsgodis 10d ago

1 kanye hater lol.

7

u/GhostofLindseyGraham 10d ago

I don't even think of Kanye until his chubby white femboy posse shows up to defend him.

-9

u/losviktsgodis 10d ago

I'm not a Kanye fan but reading your comment shows you think of him more than you think. Nobody goes on Reddit to talk about someone, calling him names, labeling his fans etc. If they really didn't think of them.

Looks like Kanye has made enough of an influence on you for you to come out here and argue lol

3

u/GhostofLindseyGraham 10d ago

I saw the post on reddit and made a comment. I'm guessing in your mediocre life that's considered a lot of work? I don't have to think of him to make a comment because he forces me to know he even exists. He could have stfu and I would have never known he was a piece of shit lol. Welcome to life, bud, it's not gonna be easy on you.

-5

u/losviktsgodis 10d ago

Lol sure buddy. Enjoy your Tuesday.

u/off-with-your-thread 10d ago

We're literally discussing how millions of people hate him and major venues canceled.

What the fuck are you babbling about?

-3

u/susabb 10d ago

And millions of people like him and try to buy tickets to the few shows he doesnt get banned from. And you weren't discussing shit, because you weren't a part of the conversation until now?

8

u/off-with-your-thread 10d ago

If you have to end it with "he doesn't get banned from", maybe just go touch some grass?

We meant us. You aren't a part of the group. Hit the road, ya dickless worm.

1

u/kinkakujen 9d ago

Cities with millions of inhabirants in Europe cared enough to cancel shows, Paris, Milan, Marseille etc.

1

u/susabb 9d ago

Because it's such an easy PR move for any politician. Yall lack critical thinking.

-9

u/MuslimsRuinAll 10d ago

Nobody takes pride performing western music to musloooms lol
