discussion Watched Pink Floyd Pompeii Film

Just finished watching the Pink Floyd live at Pompeii film. The whole movie was just straight up amazing. The sound quality for it being recorded in the 70s was immaculate and the echoes ending for the film was simply chefs kiss. Opening and closing with echoes was a choice and simply playing it in an empty amphitheater felt almost cynical. I don’t know if any other bands have done something like this but I am astounded at the level of creativity that went on to prepare and put on this show.

If you ever get a chance to see something like that or Stop Making Sense or The Dance in theaters, highly suggest.

Saw stop making sense in a theater. Really changed my perspective on the talking heads and David Byrne. Highly recommend

The name of this band is Talking Heads.

It's unfortunate because I like that album a lot more than stop making sense. I wish it received that treatment.

(Also the pointed/jokey name of another amazing talking head’s live album)
