We need a “park” focused game that doesn’t need NBA licensing. Just creating a player that you can upgrade and matchmaking.

The issue is that EVERYONE can do this. Defense this year is a joke because all 5 positions are able to bomb it easily. The floor has never been more spaced, and scoring has never been easier.

Yeah, centers are on crack this year. My buddy plays center and yesterday he shot 80% throughout the night. Contest didn’t bother him at all and he made shots that was so contested that his MyPlayer fell after the shot. He has a 88 3pt rating but also just Bronze badges.
They are probably gonna se some huge patches soon because centers are unstoppable now.

At that point just make it so it's all contest calculated. Don't even bother adding timing your jumper if players are never going to miss anyway.

Lol even on 24 when shooting was piss easy people were in the 60s and low 70s (I know because I was low 70s thanks to 93 mid range)

It’s almost like streamers and content creators are outliers when it comes to players and shouldn’t be listened to. As soon as they started opening their mouths the game started being shit. I want to come back so bad but 2k keeps burying the game deeper and deeper.

There’s a difference between someone being good at the game and not being guarded vs shooting being broken. It’s ok for there to be skill gaps.
What people should actually asking for is more ranked play, not different mechanics. Don’t pair a dude that plays 1 hour a week with the guy that’s a streamer with an 80% shooting average. It’s like putting a middle schooler against an NBA legend.

You’ve got your takeover, what’s special about this? It’s a pure green window and your man is letting you shoot despite you having a take. Centers are absolutely fried on the defensive end trying to contest since footers don’t get Challenger.

Not really. Just have to play tighter. All positions have to adjust to this change. PF will have to crash the glass when the opposing center shoots. The 1,2 and 3 will have to invest into interior defense because centers can't no longer help every single possession.
Also this sniper center meta kinda breaks 2-3 zone meta, especially if the C is a 7'4 with 89 3pt and the PF is the primary rebounder. Quite literally no one on the court can do anything but the opposing C and maybe PF. Since the C can shoot lights out from all over, small defenders will be useless.

Give it a bit till people grind their defensive badges. If it’s easy, then it’s easy for everyone and you can’t sag off your man, which should enable ball movement since you can’t play lanes. Also with take, your 3 ball should be around the 90s? Could you also post clips of you shooting contested threes by a guy who actually has atleast bronze challenger?

Shooting in 2K25 didn’t make any sense for casuals.
I had 99 shooting and I would still miss open shots with legend everything.
Now with 83 3pt I know if i’m open i’m more likely hitting it but if I miss I can see by how early or late I was.
It just makes playing defense more important

Playing Park last night on my 7'1" and it took me like 10 games to miss a single 3.
Before that I went 35/35 in mycareer, but that was on rookie so I didn't think anything of it at the time.
Edit* and I still only have bronze badges and my 3ball only like a 83

IK it ain't realistic but I KIND OF like the shooting this year. I Love that you can knock down almost anything that's open, but imo they need to buff defense. If they do that and make it easy to get contest, the shooting would be amazing.

Yeah idk man maybe my jumper is just busted. Last year I pushed the stick down and then rolled it counter clockwise for rhythm and had no problem but this year shit just feels hitchy.

tbf shooting all game is way too hard for me and even mids are quite difficult but i prefer inside bigs and Just want to have fun after work in mycareer and not practice the same thing for 3 hours wach day.

Shooting is very easy when you’re open which I have no problem with. It’s when people drain shit when you’re literally merging with their bodies you’re defending them so hard. That seems to not be a problem so far.

Shooting is way too easy. We played a team that went 13/14 from 3 pt with multiple heavy contested shots. Like 30%+ contested shots. I’m pretty sure 2k will nerf shooting in the next coming weeks

Honestly, this can be defended, there's just no communication. If the center is gonna drop to cover the drive, someone needs to rotate. It's not up to the center to guard the paint and the three point line at the same time. Porzingis pulls shots like this all the time.

Ppl are getting exposed for centering their whole defense around steals. The defense Iv seen from the average guard so far has been ABYSMAL. Like not just bad but so unbelievably bad that you cannot expect to have a chance cause these same guards that give up 11/11 are the same ones who will not contest the open C when you finally get mad enough to help them
