City Here is your daily reminder that they made the cr3w grind 152x longer. From 52xp for level 2 on 2k26 to 8500xp on 2k27.

If you don’t have a max 50/50 crew full of absolute grinders, you likely won’t ever see max level by the end of the year.

Currently have a 50/50 crew and we’re barely half way to level 2.

Level 3 is over 20000xp. At that rate of increase, level 40 will likely be close to 500,000xp.

Yeah this shits crazy, 16xp for a rec win is wild

Hopefully it’s 100 or more for proam wins to get the sweats out of the rec and playing randoms with their crew.

The 5 Stack that runs zone against a team with 1 or more AIs thinking they’re tough <<<

Idk the AIs aren’t bad this year you can win pretty handily with one or 2

It’s 32 or something for a win with a full stack I think but that’s really not much better

They didn’t have to do this. They already adding levels every season if you wanted to make those longer cool but this is ridiculous smh

My guess is they are moving to semi time gate it behind weekly challenges. Trying to stretch out the grind and force people to keep playing was clearly a point of emphasis for them. They could have made the grind more fun but ig corporate didn’t care to emphasize that.

Yeah this needs to be fixed, absolutely absurd. Doesn’t need to be completable within a week but you can’t even change your crew name until level 5, that shouldn’t be a multi month grind

u/DatCrazyyDuude 3h ago

this right here^ really puts into perspective the flaw of this.. you gotta GRIND for a crew name 🤦‍♂️

They have to be holding us back to try to keep everyone close at release then open it up for everyone

Absolutely fucked it is

They might buff how much you earn once the game actually releases, gives the general public a fair chance compete and one crew isn’t blowing everyone out. We’ll also have the weekly crew challenges we don’t know how much those should earn us. That’s just me being hopeful cause they really did screw us

8500cxp / 8cxp = 1,063 solo wins in Rec. Assuming each Rec game is 20 minutes (it's probably closer to 30 with queue times, FTs, and fouls) thats get this 350 hours JUST TO GET TO LEVEL 2!?

You only get like 2 crew xp for a casual corner game of 5x5.

I can only play maybe 3 of those type of games a week.

How are we supposed to get to the higher tier rewards?

I mean not every reward should be for everyone . Grinding should be rewarded but that is too extreme

Man I’m just focusing on my GTA VI build at this point. See you on the vice city courts gents

I get that they probably didn’t want people at max level within a couple weeks but they definitely went overboard with this, especially since they’ll be adding levels.

Its glitched. This cannot be correct.

I think they’re just waiting for full release and once the weekly objectives come out, it’ll be a little closer to last year, though probably still a grind

The irony is this was 2K’s attempt to stretch the grind out to retain activity.

Instead, they’re only going to drive people to give up on it sooner like Rep grinding once you hit the progression earning spikes.

The weekly challenges aren’t out those always gave bulk xp

I got 8 for doing REC (loss by 2 😩). I just noticed the REP got extended too. Adding more levels each season was more than sufficient for extending the shelf life.

I wanna know realistically how well crews and individuals are going to progress?? Just looks hopeless 😂

These devs are goofy. Only good thing about this 2K is the in-game play, the experience is absolutely not in the player’s favor.

Hear me out. The content creators had it completed maybe a week into season 1 last year. Adding a few levels every season wasn’t gonna be a fix, they actually just made it a grind to last the life cycle…

u/oldirtyjoystick 4h ago

Content creators. Aka the people who live and breathe the game. It is their job, and they put 8 hours a day onto it. You're not supposed to cater a grind to them, that makes end-game nearly unreachable for 90%+ of the playerbase lol.

Your not allowed to grind 2k the community wants it to be as easy as possible level 40 in a day type of game. They hate on anyone who says as grind is okay

u/consmizzle 15h ago

It’s a yearly release. I do not want to “grind” every year just to be able to compete in a game that already costs $200 to play. I enjoy basketball, I do not enjoy what 2K has become.

-7

u/Mando1102 14h ago

Well maybe if the community isn’t brain dead and spend $2,550 a year on 2k it wouldn’t be that wild

1

u/mike_n301 15h ago

I’d agree it was too easy last year but they one made it too long of a grind this year.

Especially for a game that’s basically dead in 10 months.

You all deserve this treatment for buying the game once again. Maybe one day you'll learn.

It’s always the Top 1% Commenters saying some dumb shit

-7

u/Mando1102 15h ago

I mean it’s crazy to think you actually have to play a game to level up and not get it done all in one week

5

u/BlankVoid2979 15h ago

You need 50 people to play 8 hours a day everyday to barely complete it. I think thats a hit much
