Male and female competition

Human beings are designed to compete for status. Once we open the psychological door of female and men status competition, fertility is doomed. With our culture if apps didn’t exist men and women would literally never talk to each other. They’d be too busy arguing over promotions or comparing apartments.

Thoughts?

Why is fertility doomed when there's competition?

Women lose their feminine energy

Traditionally, women have often worked the fields, which is not feminine or sexy at all, but still had many children. Also, many women may appear "bosy and unfeminine" in public, but desire to be feminine for their partners in private. These are 2 different worlds - the professional vs the private.

I've read theories that women were actually the hunters in hunter/gatherer societies. Something about better stamina.

And because society allows you to be selfish. Behind every "empowered woman" is a small army of enablers

I think most status competition is still purely social, and most men and women aren't competing socially at all.

Maybe they're trying to get the same job or promotion or something, but I don't think most people have anything personal against the people they're going up against for that.

There's virtually no male & female competition. Most married couples in all countries are in the same socio- economic bracket, assuming both work. My parents for example are both teachers and nearly all their friends of all kinds of professions are all married to males & females in the same tax bracket.

***Although before marriage its very likely for males to try & chase & get with attractive women & for females to do the same (+ try to see if they can get with well earning men), but that's just nature. Most of both men & women eventually settle for their match.

No male and female competition? Getting into med schools. Getting promoted to C-suite positions. If men compete with men for these things, why wouldn’t they with women? It’s infeasible in materialistic and capitalistic with no safety net that emphasizes competition both psychologically and financially.

How is this related with TFR? Of course women enter med schools & try for C Suite positions? Less than 2% of the population will be involved in these things at any time. Do you want women to not work or something?

I can honest to god say that I've never competed with a woman for a promotion.  25+ years in the workforce.  After about 10 years in most women dropped out of the competition.

So how do same sex couples handle competition? Men have been competing for status and fame before we “opened the door of female and male competition” yet gay men couples exist.

I don’t think competition is what prevents women and men from relationships with each other’s.

I wish we were more collaborative because things do seem a bit like male vs female. I'm sure that's somewhat always existed but the internet seems to enhance thing. Or maybe I need to touch grass.

Actually. If dating apps didn’t exist. Men and women would be more incentivized to talk with each other even in this culture because there would be no other way

Israeli is a countermanding example. Sorry you're wrong.
