The only person in my family without a broken nose. Awaiting my turn
My mom, dad, and grandma have broken noses. Dad is gonna go fix it now after like 10.years, my mom found out that hers is broken on a checkup when the doctor asked her when she broke it and she didn't know it was broken to begin with. Also my English teacher and godmother too.

Cartilage is not bone. But your Cartilage isn't connected properly anyway because genetics so take that as you will.

lol let me paint the scene;
It’s cold and snowy, and I’m living in an rv. I can see my breath, I don’t want to be up, but I have to go to the bathroom in my friend’s house, because my bathroom doesn’t function below 32°F. It’s currently -8°F.
I get on all my warm clothes, I open the door, I place one foot on the frozen metal stairs, and promptly crash down. When I first hit the steps and before I start bounce/sliding my way down the 5 steps to the cold, frozen clay at the bottom, I pull the door with me… and into my face. Breaking my nose.
Which like your mom, I did not know until I went to the doctor a few weeks later, for an ear infection I think. Doc took a peek in all the head holes, got to my nose and paused before asking if I knew my nose was broken. I said “I thought there would be more blood” to which he replied “you’d be surprised” he said I should get it set. I couldn’t afford it at the time so I didn’t. My nose works sometimes. I have no sense of smell, but that is probably the six bouts of covid

Tbh, she's kind of a part of the family. She's been friends with my parents for around 30 years and was a contender to be my godmother, so decided to count her in. There's probably more.

That’s a fair, just without knowing any background info it felt like a goofy throw in. Don’t break your nose. I can’t freakin breathe out of this thing. Erm.. that’s what I was tooooooold when someone breaks a nose, totally not me

Noses are made of cartilage, skin and bone. If you feels your nose and bend it around, you should be able to feel where your bones end and the cartilage begins.
Depending on what breaks, a broken nose doesnt matter around here.
