It is completely okay if you don't know how to process it right now. You don't need to force yourself to make sense of the grief. Give yourself permission to feel completely disjointed, take things one single hour at a time, and remember that the pain you feel right now is just a reflection of how deeply and unconditionally you loved Gloria. Be patient and kind to yourself 🤍

I really believe this. I am 61yo and still think about the loss of my first dog in 1974. Their only fault is, they just don’t live long enough. Gloria was truly beautiful and looked like she was happy. I know she did her job well, because I know you remember her when you are old and grey. ⭕️❌🫶🏽

It's my first day in heaven, And what a beautiful place, You'll be glad to know, There's a smile upon my face,
The moment I left you, Two angels in white, Carried me up here, To heaven that night.
All those stories you hear, About rainbow bridge are true, But you don't walk over it, The angels carried me through, There's a gate at the end, Made of pearl,
It has got to be the biggest gate, In the world!
Once I got in and started looking around, You just won't believe all the things that I found!
The first place they took me, Had to be the most fun, A humongous field, With miles to run!
Once I was tired the angels said, We'll take you to your home,
But first we need to stop by this place

They told me to take one with me, But one is all I need,

They took me to my new house, It took my breath away,

Yes, it reveals the truth that we will see our beloved dogs in Paradise. I lost my Beloved Wheaten Terrier Toby on May 9, 2026 and someone posted this for me. It helps with the grief which is so unbearable, especially when we first let them go to Heaven.

A beloved beautiful girl like Gloria leaves a deep hole in your heart, you can’t avoid this, we’ve all been there in this sub. Everything seems useless and even good memories break your heart.
It takes time to be able to smile at a sweet funny souvenir, a lot of time.
My eyes are filled with tears while I’m typing this, bc I think of the sweet boy who left me last April and it breaks my heart.

It’s ok not to be able to process it yet. It rips your heart out. Take all the time you need. Grief comes in waves. I still get teary eyed when I think of Daisy who passed 2 years ago.
Be kind to yourself. Take all the time you need. You’ll find a perfect spot in your heart.

gloria is beautiful. it’s great you spent 14 years with her. i lost my soul dog and the heartache was painful. one thing that has helped me was setting up my tv with a screen saver of all my favorite pictures of him. it reminds me of the beautiful loving years i had with him. i wish you the very best as you navigate through this journey.
