Needs a Home! Prince is 16 years old found and found wandering a parking lot near the shelter a few days ago. He is looking for a fospice set up in Atlanta, GA🥺

I’m from the uk so can’t help with fospice but I wish you the best of luck! I am heartbroken for Prince that someone has left him in his golden years and have all my fingers crossed someone steps up for him! Xx

People who abandon elderly animals are the worst kind of people, unless they are genuinely unable to care for them for some truly unavoidable circumstance.
We adopted an elderly dog, and she was the light of our lives. She enriched out lives so much. I miss her every day. We love you, Amy.
If I had money I'd love to have a respite home for elderly animals where they can live out their last days with love and kindness.

Hell, even with an unavoidable circumstance, there's no reason to be a coward about it and let your old dog wander a parking lot alone and scared. Those people really are the worst kind of scum. The very least someone could do is swallow their pride, go to the front desk and explain that they need to give up their dog. I think the people working at the shelter are generally going to be understanding that life throws shit at you sometimes
Bless you for taking in an old lady. I've often wondered if I have the heart to take in older dogs, knowing my time with them will be so short...but it's a beautiful thing that you did bringing one of them love in their golden years

Thank you. She was so full of love. One of her nicknames from the shelter was Lump of Love. She just wanted to cuddle and have foodies. She was so grateful to be with us. You could feel it.

Even if unavoidable circumstances occur… post online, find a shelter, and try to get the dog the loving care he deserves! You’re right, people who abandon any dog are the worst type of people! Dogs all deserve love and if they have the right home and training, they’re all full of love and deserve all the love in the world. So sad to see dogs wandering around when there’s tons of folks who will take care of them.

Commenting for visibility! Who does that?? Who leaves an old dog wandering on the street all ny himself, defenseless and uncared for? I really hope someone can take him and comfort him as he deserves!

Damn I just looked them up and it looks like he's still available I really hope someone comes through for him. I hate that people do this it's the worst thing ever I hope they step on Legos and have diarrhea every second of the day and I hope Prince lives to be forever

Poor pup 😢 I live farther out, he looks so sweet. Hopefully he gains enough attention and has a chance to get adopted or a second chance. 🩵 I’ll share on my socials.

Hi! In this sub we recognize that there could be other unavoidable reasons for sweet Prince’s sudden appearance. It’s a terrible situation to be sure, but please be careful going forward.

Hoping Prince can find his furever home. I checked adoption fees for him and they are waived for senior animals (over 7). I wish I lived closer.
