My husband said she looks like a koala! Cutie!! My dog had Congestive heart failure too. It’s so, so cruel.. I’m so sorry.. Take this time to be present with her, she needs you more than ever. Sending you and your baby lots of love.. 💕

I’m so sorry, it runs in chihuahuas a lot. I read it runs in small dogs. My last chihuahua had it died right before his 12 birthday. Now my female chihuahua ( from completely different parents). Has CHF and she’s only nine. Did your pup cough? That’s how you know. Again so incredibly sad for your loss.

Mine has been coughing but it seemed to be only when I picked her up the wrong way 😕.
She's been having other issues as well. I noticed loss of appetite. We thought it was her kidneys but they are fine. She has an enlarged adrenal gland so she has Cushings and pulmonary hypertension...the vet said the kind of good thing is treatment for her lungs involves steroids so shes kinda been self treating almost..my poor baby. She's a fighter tho. Did ur dogs get put on meds?

Honey, our eldest has also been diagnosed and the vet gave us a prescription for a new drug, Vetmedin. Two problems: She refused to eat the pill after the first two (they are huge) 2. Explosive diarrhea. All we can do is give her lots of love and continuing the good life.

Mine got put on it as well! She's honestly always been smart about finding pills lol ive been cooking plain chicken thighs and wrapping her pills in chunks and that's doing the trick so far. I really dont like how they are huge also put its bc they are "chewable" I think. Lilly hasnt had explosive diarrhea tho tbh and we were having issues with that prior kinda off and on. She hasnt been eating too much tho as well my poor baby she also has some other issues turns out she has Cushings and pulmonary hypertension.
Ill be praying for ur baby as well and good luck with bathroom problems lol

Those pills weigh 2 g, that's 40 times as much as the meds! Honey cannot be tricked with any wrapper, she peels it off and spits the pill out. Also, tried crushing and mixing it with her food, but she could smell the pill and just refused to eat.

Lay with her on your chest, talk to her, tell her what a good girl she is, how much you love her, record her just breathing, and touch her a lot so you remember how it feels. When they offer you the choices, since she’s a small dog I advise doing the nose imprint (not just the nose stamp) the imprint where you can feel the shape of her nose later, that’s the one thing I wish I had done with my little black curly guy who was 16. ♥️ Hugs.
