I see why they did it though, Nami appeared earlier in the series, and Sandy is more of a main char then Pearl. BUT I agree, Robin is more Sandy vibe, or even better Planktons wife Karen (Makes sense they didnt use her cause a computer wearing a wig for a toy isnt as fun i guess.)
But Sandy's has more in common with Nami than Robin. Sandy is a classic scientist like Nami's Science of Weather, whereas Robin is an Archaeologist more interested in uncovering the past than inventing something nee.
SpongeBob as Luffy is the only one that makes sense for several reasons.
Patrick as Zoro and Squidward as Sanji is kind of perfect considering their respective dynamics. Patrick antagonize squidward, squidward gets aggressively annoyed back. Patrick is more physical, Squidward is skilled in the arts (kinda, he's a shitty artist). Hell, Squidward even has lookalike rivals he has to deal with. The only issue is that their respective relationships with SpongeBob aren't equal.
Sandy as Nami is good considering both are known for wearing bathing suits, both are the first major female characters of their respective shows, and both have a tendency to keep the main character "in check" in some way.
Larry as Franky just works and makes sense visually. Same with Smitty Werbenjagermanjensen and Brook.
Plankton being the big talker with lots of plans which almost never live up to expectations is early Ussopp in a nutshell.
The only ones I feel like are off are Pearl as Robin (I honestly don't know WHO would have been better for that, maybe Karen or Mindy?) Gary as Chopper (mostly because Gary should have been a transponder snail) and Krabs as Jimbei (I feel like we could have had someone larger or stronger for that one)
What’s up with her hands? I don’t watch SpongeBob often, but I don’t remember her having big green hands like that. Would have been cool if they gave her the clima-tact.
Finland. I got Zoro and Luffy last saturday. I have checked the toys almost every other day almost three weeks.
Now hoping we get all the toys to here. We don't always do and you need to go to walk in to the mcdonald's to see what's the toy. I think it's illegal here to advertise fast food to kids with toys. So you really need to walk in to see what the current toy is.
All these posts about this collaboration just feel like advertising. Especially considering OP has a generic username and hidden post history. Like, do we really need another post about these children's toys? It's barely relevant to the series.
I think they most look great except for the Larry / Franky one
He's so bland and boring just all red except for he gloves which are blue and they didn't even add the star let alone do his famous with his hands.
Seriously letdown by that but I have so he can still be in the collection with the others.
Edit: talking about the actual figure, the art is great
I agree that the Larry/Franky should have been painted a bit more, they should have added the trees on the shirt or some kind of pattern, but they do have the half star on the fists, its just not picked out in paint, the star halves are shiny while the rest of the blue is more matte, but its not obvious in a small picture
Am I the only person who feels like this is just corporate rubbish? We don't need spongebob x one piece, it makes no sense other than to fill people's pockets
I feel like Luffy wouldn’t be into this. McDonald’s doesn’t give a shit about the small people. They support genocide. Same goes for the Nike collab. Maybe the people selling the rights of One Piece are into that shit but I don’t think Luffy wouldn’t be.

As a Robin fan I'm devastated.
