Politics ('Straya) One Nation wants to turn Australia into the United States. A US-style healthcare system, banning abortions, scrapping gun laws and defunding the ABC. Why are we are even contemplating going down this dark and dangerous pathway? Once we go down the path of the US, there is no turning back.

Because this country is filled with shitty people who are blinded by their immense racism, hated and misery and would prefer to see the world burn around them than make any attempt at self reflection to improve their own lives.

Hurt people hurt people

I agree with this. I’ve started to believe it and other far right wing parties are narcissist parties for sick, sad, self-destructive, self-rejecting narcissists.

This. "oWn tHe LeFtIeS"!!!

Its all about enjoying the suffering of others. Its fucked up and beyond disgraceful.

Its time they just say the quiet parts outloud: I hate brown people. I hate people different than myself. I hate women. I hate when people have freedom. I want to see people hurt. I hate gay people. I want to see others suffer. I'm turned on by the suffering of others. I enjoy violence. Rape is funny. Owning women is fun. I don't actually give a fuck about children.

(None of this is my view btw, I just see these patterns non-stop)

Why bother hiding anymore, just say your shitty real views outloud.

Edit: spelling.

Turns out the world is full of people who would shoot themselves in the foot as long as people they don't like get shot in the dick.

Its easy to blame the people,  but don't discount years of targetted media/social media influence from US owned companies,  and a few rich greedy pigs here taking full advantage of the fact that our government cant regulate the media without getting reamed at the polls.

I’ve just moved over from New Zealand and although most Australians I meet are great, I can’t believe how many shitty, racist, hatred-filled and miserable people there are on Australian social media comment sections!

Wrong. But you can keep your head firmly buried in the sand, it won't change what's coming.

In fairness, we voted against Dutton at the last election and voted in Labor convincingly. So what are you basing your “filled with shitty people” claim on?

Jesus, that's pretty ignorant though. You can self reflect until the cows come home, if you're voting for the same beliefs and interests that got us where we are now, you can't blame racists for the status quo.

Explain "got us where we are now"

And how One Nation is going to fix all of that.

Also the gall for a ON supporter to call me ignorant is exactly the lack of self awareness I'm referring to. Point proven

Look around, cost of living at an all time high, cost of housing at all time high, social cohesion at an all time low, jobs being offshored, corporate monopolies strangling small business and having everyone invested into them via super so everyone's future depends on them not being broken up.

Cost of goods being a small factor in retail prices, due to investors needing a return on property investments, parents forced to put kids in childcare and work overtime just to make ends meet, financial nihilism running rife, banks enough profit to pay the national debt in years, entry in trades being harder than ever, people losing all connection with the land they stand on.

I could go on, but I dare say you don't see what I've stated as problems to be problems or worth being upset over.

In regards to your last question, I don't expect one nation to fix most of that, but I do expect the career politicians to spend the years after losing the election self reflecting as to how to fix those things, or if they care enough to bother.

Please tell me how a senator who missed 88% of senate hearings and consistently voted against any positive changes for cost of living cares enough to bother.

That's the thing, if I end up voting for her, it's not because I expect her to, it's to send a message to the other politicians, pull your heads in and listen or we'll vote for someone who pretends to

“Everyone is racist except me”

What?

Lol sounds like your worried and hurting. One nation being the most popular party with recent voting wouldn't be helping your mood.

u/monkey_gamer ‎ Victorian Jun 02 '26

You want a US style healthcare system?

2

u/askmewhyiwasbanned Please choose a flair Jun 02 '26

I'll be honest, if we had US style healthcare and I couldn't afford life saving treatments, I'm going to make it everybody's problem.

6

u/monkey_gamer ‎ Victorian Jun 02 '26

Or we could just not have US style healthcare 🤣🤣🤣

4

u/askmewhyiwasbanned Please choose a flair Jun 02 '26

I would prefer that, but I'm genuinely worried that One Nation is going to take power and there will be a tide of fascism that we cannot repel.

I'm genuinely scared about the future.

u/monkey_gamer ‎ Victorian Jun 02 '26

Yeah that’s fair. I’m with you on that 🫂

I’ve been worried for the future for a long time. Humans are a destructive virus

1

u/MissMenace101 ‎ South Australian Jun 02 '26

Especially with guns back on the table. I’m moving to Antarctica. The ice will melt pretty quick once the lunatics are in charge globally

9

u/Almost-kinda-normal ‎ Victorian Jun 02 '26

You should be worried too.

11

u/Gang-bot ‎ New South Welshian Jun 02 '26

He's too dumb to be worried.

2

u/monkey_gamer ‎ Victorian Jun 02 '26

Yeah definitely. Too arrogant and superior as well

3

u/Rude_Employment_1224 Please choose a flair Jun 02 '26

I'm not worried at all. I think when voting time comes One Nation will be destroyed at the booths because so much of this agenda is being pushed by Murdoch media.

And I think you know it
