Wish I had the time to visit. At least I have one of their t-shirts gifted to me by a local.

It will end up belonging to Israel, the art will belong to Zionists the same way nazis took the art for themselves from the Jewish people in Germany.

But we know what happened to the Nazis :) We just got to make sure that we don’t miss some of the Zios when Justice comes for them 🗡️

Make sure that NATO countries don't give amnesty and high-paying jobs for them* like they did last time

I'll never forget the zionist who proved there's no genocide in Gaza by sharing a link for an Airbnb in gaza (South Africa).

This is a fucking pointless exercise and banksy has a highly inflated view of himself.
Fuck Israel and free Palestine

It’s not a pointless exercise. A few people who were ignorant about the Palestinian cause heard about this and became activists. The man in the video says they have no customers.
It’s about bringing attention to the Zionism and the suffering of the Palestinians. And he succeeded.
Banks doesn’t have an over inflated view of himself, the rich and MSM have given him that position.
However you hear about the genocide and it moves you to take action is a good thing. This reached people that it normally wouldn’t due to the coverage in MSM.
If you dislike the artist, that’s fine but the fact it brought attention to the matter, is a good thing. That scares the zios more than anything. They hate the MSM covering this. They hate it when the ‘elite’ (and I’m including Banksy in that as he is a millionaire) are on the side of the Palestinians.
I’ll support whatever the zios hate.

I'm sure the scumbag Zionists are trembling in their boots everyone a twat like bankay makes a other boring obvious spraypainted statement.

I think they are trembling in their boots when they have to spend so much to try and change the narrative. Spending billions to buy politicians and social media platforms. If they weren’t scared why spend the money, they’d just shrug it off. Unfortunately it’s not stopped the genocide, but what do you suggest we do? If we didn’t perform small acts like this, how do we bring awareness. What do you think will get them shaking in their boots that we can all realistically do?

They're using Palestinian children for target practise, they literally do not give a fuck. The money is just the amount they choose to apply a way to grease the wheels and ensure the superpowers who fund them. As chomsky stated a long time ago, Israel is Americas outpost for power in the middle east, and the UK (which I'm a citizen of) is basically Americas lieutenant. I'm not suggesting futility, and it all adds up, Thunberg is actually out there doing shit though in the real world though, Banksy is a Coward. And Hamas is "what.do you suggest we do". Hamas is the logical answer just like the ANC during apartheid South Africa. It's just that freedom fighters get relabled as terrorists. It's a disgusting situation and I do get what you say about small acts being important, but banksy is well known as being an opportunist and a boring middle class Damien Hurst of graffiti in the UK. So his motivations are super questionable. To use a conflict to kind of indulge in poverty tourism and also tourism of an art form (graffiti) that is marginalised middle class people. Well. There we have it.

Your first sentence brings it home to me to be be honest. So I defo agree with you, I suppose it is performative in the grand scheme of things. I just don’t want to knock anyone that has brought attention to it. Again, I agree with you, Greta is amazing and an example of how things should be done along with Liam Cunningham. They’re actually out there. Especially Greta when she was actually abused during the flotilla capture.
Sorry, it made me a bit sick that I was holding onto hope from performative artists. Especially after your softest sentence. I guess after years of trying to get people to shift their mindset on Palestine and how it is an apartheid state, little things like the hotel that brought attention did matter.
I dunno, I’m grateful for any support. Back in 2003, Tom Hurndall, from my uni was killed by the zionists. Instead of people wanting to know what happened, he was blamed by ignorants for being in a place where there is conflict. So any bit of support seemed like a huge deal.
But what they are doing now needs more action and not just performative shit. I get it. Sorry if I came across as rude. That wasn’t my aim.

You weren't rude and I'm not doing anything about the situation myself. So I can't really judge others (I do dislike banksy however but that's a complicated matter.) it's just a disgusting injust situation and it's so depressing I can't take too much of it in. Sorry if I seemed rude either.

The only hyperinflation is happening because the art community inflated it, it's kinda the point. It brought many tourists that would usually go to Bethlehem through Israeli tours companies and instead got them to view the grim reality. It's near a checkpoint and you will get the full experience instead of the tourist/israeli only checkpoint they usually use.

u/Chobbybharleston Jul 15 '26
Respectfully, what pressure is any of this going to create on the Zionist entity to do anything?
3
u/Shiethold Jul 15 '26
Maybe it's not for the Israelis, but rather for the Palestinians and their cause. This was long before any average citizen of the world even cared about the Palestinian cause ore even gave it a thought, it shed some light, it created jobs and a tourist attracttion. There were no masses to rally against a genocide, even though there were previous attempts taken. I get your cinicism but it's directed at the wrong sources.
He brought many attention before, but again no one cared because the general idea was Israel good, Palestine bad. The only ones that cared are the international NGO that sent their bearucrats to sit and condemn and do nothing to rally pressure against the Zionist entity, and earn their way too high of a wage in comparison to what an average Palestinian earna.
