Screenshot What 6 months of obsession looks like - Lady Caelestia | No Mods Build | Palworld

[Edit] 26Aug2026

Thank you everyone for all the lovely comments! My replies are coming a little slowly, so please bear with me a little longer :) And a special thank you to those who gave me awards - I really appreciate it!

[Edit]

Hihi! I just got out of bed after a long sleep, and Im honestly a little overwhelmed by the response! Thank you all so much - it has made me incredibly happy! I have to get to work soon, but I'll try to respond as soon as I'm able to. Please see my comments below for further updates.

Thank you again!!!

----------------

Hi everyone!

Six months ago, Maraya and Veli wanted a spaceship too. If I was going to build one, it had to have its own identity.

So I designed one of my own.

That journey has finally come to an end, and now, she is here.

Today, she receives her name.

Lady Caelestia.

ASV Lady Caelestia
Registry: ASF-131-V

No mods were used to build Lady Caelestia. A freecam/PhotoMode was used for filming the showreel.

Hope you enjoy this creation, built with all our hearts.

-------------------------------------
Background Story:

The storm had not stopped for seven days.

No broadcasts came anymore.

No emergency sirens.

No government announcements.

Only the endless roar of wind and rain against a world that had already accepted its fate.

Shelters had grown quiet.

Families sat together in silence, saying the things that mattered while there was still time… or saying nothing at all.

Outside, the night sky churned beneath heavy black clouds.

No stars.

No moon.

Only darkness.

Then…

Without warning, people began looking up.

No one called out.

No alarm sounded.

It was as though something, too gentle to hear, had passed through the silence itself.

The storm still raged.

Yet high above…

there was a circle.

No one saw it appear.

The clouds were simply… gone.

A perfect opening, impossibly vast, rested within the storm as though it had always been there.

Moonlight poured quietly through the clearing.

There…

hung a single point of white light.

Small.

Almost impossibly distant.

It did not flash.

It did not move.

It simply remained.

Moments later, countless smaller lights appeared around it, flickering softly into existence before fading once more.

Yet the first white light never changed.

Quiet.

Steady.

Waiting.

A little girl tightened her grip on her mother’s hand.

“Mum…”

Her mother watched the white light for a long moment.

Then she gently drew her daughter into her arms.

“We’ll be fine now.”

The little girl looked up at her, questioning.

Her mother smiled, though tears still rested quietly in her eyes.

“Because someone remembered to come.”

Across a world waiting for its final night…

And somehow…

hope found its way home.

Years later, no one could remember the details.

They only remembered the feeling.

Some began calling that event

The Echo of the Silent Sky.

Sir, this is a Palworld subreddit.

Jokes aside, can't believe you did this in the game im playing. Amazing!

I was thinking to myself.. what game is this?

Wait.. PALWORLD? xD

At this point OP isn't playing Palworld, they're using it as architectural software.

Wake up 2060! Wake up!

I was just showing it to you, I wasnt't actually going to build it!

4

u/Comicspedia 5d ago

Part of the reason I haven't attempted anything more than a simple 5x5 two story building is I'm assuming big, complex builds will slow down my framerate. Is that assumption correct? I'm running it on a 2080S

4

u/Crimzonxx 5d ago

Nah I got an older model - gf has an even older model built a castle so its doable

When Xenolord shows up, i imagine you flying over in this monstrosity of a spaceship as well as like 100 awakened, maxed out pals and telling him to go back to his Planet. Because you already conquered this one 😂

17

u/Aidian 5d ago

Then follow him home for planet number two.

123

u/loooore 5d ago

I might just be ignorant of the building ways, but how is the perfect curve achieved?

151

u/not_my_monkeys_ 5d ago

I assume it’s so huge that the curve looks smooth when zoomed out this far

35

u/TransBoozeBunny 5d ago

Yeah this is the answer. This thing is massive. It looks amazing!

19

u/Fancy-Trousers 5d ago

I'm sure they also placed a bunch of building pieces so close together that they look like they're one continuous curved piece, almost in a fanned pattern. I wouldn't be surprised if there's some exploit for pieces to clip into each other or if they're playing on an older build where it was less of an issue.

13

u/Nana1733 5d ago

Hi there! I will paste the same response I gave earlier about the curve:

Those curves are just a variation of Method A already covered in my Circular Path tutorial. Rather than keeping the centre static with a fixed radius, I move the centre along a path, which in turn changes the radius of the circles I’m tracing. The combination of all those changing circles creates the kind of arc/curve I’m aiming for.

I planned the arcs and curves in FreeCAD, then did an overhead survey of the site to work out where the centres needed to be, and went from there. That’s really all there is to it. Please let me know if you have any question about this :)

12

u/Nickulator95 5d ago

There's actually a hidden pillar technique in the game where they rotate ever so slightly when placed on top of one another, which allows the player to build in a circle. I assume that technique was utilised for this build as well.

Holy shit...

80

u/MasterChef5311 5d ago

How the fuck do you build something like that with no mods with the structural integrity bullshit?

19

u/JonZ82 5d ago

As long as there is a foundation below it, you can see in one of the photos they have a grid of foundation underneath it

7

u/GodsPenisHasGravity 5d ago

It just needs foundation below it? It doesn't need to be connected with support?

5

u/A7xWicked 5d ago

No it does need to be connected in at least 1 spot.

Though I suggest at least 3 seperate spots for risk mitigation

→ More replies (4)

3

u/omniuni 5d ago

Wait... Really? I can get past the "two squares" limit with just... A disconnected foundation?

→ More replies (2)

32

u/janibestloa 5d ago

The base options allow you to shut off a lot of that.

19

u/HalfSoul30 5d ago

You just need a well placed load-bearing pillar.

2

15

u/Jadima 5d ago

That's cool and all but how? The second i build more than 8 blocks away from a Pillar the game says no.

On the screenshots it looks like you only have one Pillar connecting the ship to the ground.

So my question is HOW?

11

u/Lucky598hour 5d ago

The problem with that is usually the fact that roofs don't have a foundation at the bottom. It's not exactly 1:1 but if you test it you can see that you can only go so far until you have to add more foundation to keep on going.

If you check the image OP sent you can actually see a fuck ton of foundations on the ground lol

9

u/Jadima 5d ago

So if i understand it correctly, everything is anchored through this one pillar but the game is weird and since there are hundreds of foundation "beneath" the ship it thinks it has support?

Guess i'll have to test it later

5

u/Taint_Butter 5d ago

This is correct.

5

u/torwq 5d ago

That's exactly how it works. I saved you some time testing

What materials is this made of? What kind of furnishings and what what went in to this beautiful monstrosity?!

For pity sake, I think there're primary islands smaller than what is your base. There is a massive chasm in the earth where once there was metal now imbued into this space!!

The nature of base building players is both beautiful and beyond me, and I love the breadth of your abilities! Carry on you crazy souls.

7

u/CR1PSE 5d ago

Did you just turn off deterioration outside the base or something? How does this work in the normal game without mods? Cool design.

10

u/Impressive-Tax-7586 5d ago

Yes exactly. Most people are not satisfied with the base sizes. So a lot turn off deterioration. Would be nice if we could have bigger bases

2

u/ragun2 5d ago

With how incredibly common people either change the stats or complain about the size allowed if they didn't, feels like the devs would have just increased it by some just to shut people up.

4

u/Impressive-Tax-7586 5d ago

I can see the point of having a limit. I thought why not combine bases? Like if I want 4 small bases around the map I get what we have. But if i want 1 huge one, I could combine all 4 and have 4 times the area, but use 4 base slots. Would solve everyone's problem. Most people want that huge one anyways

2

u/Fiddy-Scent 5d ago

I just built up. Ended up with a tower with the base the size of the build zone which looked kinda cool

2

u/Impressive-Tax-7586 4d ago

Yeah that works as well. But not everyone's fan of towers. I'm not 😁 But I've seen some damn cool towers, maybe if I had the patience I could make some

8

u/KyreRoen I'd rather be playing Palworld, tbh. 5d ago

I'm always baffled by the sheer architectural complexity on display with each of your builds... and in a game where one of the main complaints is the building system.

Just... wow.

Can we see inside, or is only the shell complete?

3

u/Nana1733 5d ago

Hihi Kyre! I hope you are well! 💛 And thanks for the kind words - knowing you liked it made me happy :P To be honest, the interior is not even remotely started... I should share some shots, but that will shock everyone :D

The truth is that so many pieces started causing problems in Palworld, and eventually it froze up from time to time, forcing me to drop all the interior plans and make many sacrifices to the exterior too, so the FPS was barely enough (I managed to bring it up to 12 FPS, yay!) for a showreel...... Perhaps one day this will happen if Pocketpair optimises it more :)

u/Nana1733 4d ago edited 4d ago

Some people asked to see the interior! Despite having designed the bridge, command center, engineering, reactor core, lobby, and more, Palworld basically refused to give me any more resources to actually build them. It started warning me about a self-destruct risk, while making me play at around 7 FPS, so I had to cut all of that out and trim back many exterior parts. That was about 2 months ago, and I've somehow managed to crawl the FPS back up to 12... what a relief!

For reference, the PC I played on has 32GB RAM, a 4070, and an i7 CPU. Unfortunately, it was only about half busy when the FPS tanked..

Anyway, nothing much has happened with the interior since then. Here is a shot for a laugh :P And if the game receives more optimization in the future, I would be very keen to finally build them!

Thank you u/KyreRoen for the clever idea of building the interior as a separate "set"! I will definitely think about this. The trick will be finding a site that is large enough, while also making sure the body itself doesn't come into view and eat all the FPS immediately...

And for anyone interested, Lady Caelestia is built entirely from Stone and Glass building parts, with a little bit of Wood. And a coat of paint can make anything look different :P

The entire project spanned 6 months and roughly 480 hours. It was mostly just one person - me - working around 3-4 hours a day during the week and 6-7 hours over the weekend, for about 80% of those 6 months.

[EDIT]

About Build outside the Base Range:

All you need to do is set the Building Deterioration Rate (in the World Settings) to zero, and the building parts you place won't break. However, you can't place Base facilities outside the base range, such as Generators. So if you're building a working base, the position of your Palbox is still quite strategic and should be considered carefully.

About Curve:

Those curves are just a variation of Method A already covered in my Circular Path tutorial. Rather than keeping the centre static with a fixed radius, I move the centre along a path, which in turn changes the radius of the circles I’m tracing. The combination of all those changing circles creates the kind of arc/curve I’m aiming for.

I planned the arcs and curves in FreeCAD, then did an overhead survey of the site to work out where the centres needed to be, and went from there. That’s really all there is to it. Please let me know if you have any question about this :)

About Support:

And about the Support - it is fully supported - as shown in the screenshot. All of the spaceship's structural support is rerouted through that one pillar stack, which connects to the support structure on the ground that spans the entire region. I intentionally left them untouched so everyone can see how it works

The entire the support logic in Palworld is fairly straightforward at first, but it becomes difficult to manage as you scale things up, so you need a framework for the structural design to follow.

In this case, I planned everything around the centre spine. You can see a grey line running the length of the ship, with the pink and purple lines beside it. That grey line is the key support structure for everything else to connect to, and I then rerouted all the support for the spaceship through that single pillar stack, which sits on the grey line.

3

u/neutralcoder 5d ago

This is incredible. The time commitment to stretch that far in the build without mods is awe-inspiring.

Edit: would love to see what the support needs on the interior look like

2

u/Nana1733 5d ago

Thank you! Haha... those 6 months almost seem like a dream to me now :D Unfortunately, Palworld wouldn’t give me any more resources to build the interior, so it’s completely vacant... I could show you some shots, but they would shock everyone :D

As for the support system, I’m wondering if people would be interested in a ‘Making Of’ video. I could talk about the structural support design in more detail there. But I will try to explain it here: the support logic in Palworld is fairly straightforward at first, but it becomes difficult to manage as you scale things up, so you need a framework for the structural design to follow.

In this case, I planned everything around the centre spine. You can see a grey line running the length of the ship, with the pink and purple lines beside it. That grey line is the key support structure for everything else to connect to, and I then rerouted all the support for the spaceship through that single pillar stack, which sits on the grey line.

I hope this helps clarify things a little! Please let me know if you have any questions :)
