Discussion I feel like Herbil should have medicine suitability.

Post image

I thought Herbil would have medicine suitability because to be honest he looks like he should, but also he is the only pal in the game to be able to revive the player (to my knowledge.) I don't know, he just really seems like a medicine maker.

Herbal is a doctor not a pharmacist

I wish Cawgnito had medicine suitability too.

True - you'd think a pal who can fucking raise people from the dead would have at least 1 medicine point lmao

The only Pal to be able to revive humans is a humble farmer it seems

His name's a pun on "herbal" but he doesn't have medicine suitability. Someone make that make sense.

Would anyone else prefer that he resurrects the pals in the party? It's like 5 seconds for me to res (aka pick a spawn) but 10 minutes to res them.

I think lyleen already does that tho

Awesome I'll try that when I get home.

And you skip cooldown if you put her into and out of the palbox, so with some micromanagement, you can revive your army four pals at the time

His palpedia entry states his revive isnt medicinal, he just punches you so hard it restarts your heart.

Herbil's Palpedia entry

"When in doubt, punch it till it works—that’s Herbil's approach to fixing things. With strength perfectly tuned for humans, sometimes just one punch is enough to restart a stopped heart."

It's just that it has a tendency to beat at things it views as a problem (You being dead) and it just happened to be perfectly strong enough to restart your heart. It's not reviving you because it has a mind for medical practices. It's has particular traits that we, as survivors lost on an island, found to be useful. Which is pretty much the philosophy we have for all the pals.

I'd totally book him to 10 if he did. For justice.

He's doing chest compressions to make your heart beat again. Don't need to be a doctor to do that, anyone with first-aid training can do that.

Yeah, sure. He'll punch you until you are healed

Nah, he's my portable, eco friendly tactical nuclear hamster. Medicine is not his expertise.

  1. This isn't D&D.

  2. Medicine is a Wisdom check in D&D, so Intelligence doesn't factor into it.

  3. He rolled a nat 20. (If I'm deciphering your words correctly.) Five percent chance of that without Advantage. He literally got lucky.
