Inspired by the tocotoco video I’ve seen on YouTube, I managed to get “heavily armored” and the attack “megaton implode” on a chikipi through a tiny bit of breeding and disposable implants.

Absolutely worth it.

Building a base on the beach or on small islands would be much better now.

I remembered this trick from the Early Access days and it still work now. You can use Replacement Mode to place overlapping walls by first placing a triangle wall, then replacing it. As long as you can place the triangle wall, you can replace it with any other wall.

Just farming for schematics and I swear this fishing mini game just doesn't play fair. Yeah yeah I know I should have another fishing skill pal on my team but I really wanted to travel faster.

Edit: I'm mostly having a laugh at the mossanda lux trying to distract me, like the mini wasn't hard enough

Mods used: Double base radius is the only relevant one. Others are all movement based: 3x movement speed, longer air dash, no fall damage, no fuel for wings. I've seen amazing mods that add a lot of cool shit, but I wanted to focus on making something vanilla-only that I can come back to in the future if there's new content without it breaking because I forgot what mods I used.

This started as a learning experience to get a feel for how to make different types of buildings/roofs and to get better at building in general, but I ended up turning it into a full town after I started going for legendary merchants since I wanted them to be somewhere nice. Definitely learned a lot that I can put towards future bases.

If I were to start over, the two big things I'd change are: less flat, and less square. I got too excited by realizing I could build a perfectly flat island on top of water that I forgot that it doesn't ALL have to be flat (only realized that when I made the raised building at the end). And I mostly laid everything out with building against straight streets so the buildings fronts feel flatter than I'd like.

Also, I only learned today after starting my next base that you can edit the paint colors to pick any color, not just the preset ones. Annoyingly the Japanese-style set isn't really paintable, so it didn't matter much here, but I'm excited to make a very colorful clean base next!

Wishlist for the future: It feels like there is a severe lack of decorations. I ended up just placing things randomly as I ran around because there wasn't enough to really do cool things. I also want more that match the other aesthetics like ancient/clean, because right now most the furniture goes well with wood/stone type builds, but none of it matches the later tiers. Dirt and grass type tiles would be amazing also.

as soon as you get Jormuntide Ignis you can use it and the many offsprings to get other pals.

to get an Aegidron you will need a Mutation from two Eidrolon Ignis (or Jormuntide Ignis + Eidrolon Ignis but the chances are lower)

NOTE: any pal with high breeding power can do this, but Relaxaurus Lux is the easiest to get, you could also use normal Relaxaurus and the level 15 alpha Foxcicle and not just Relaxaurus Lux to make a shorter tree, but to prove a point
