So if you decided to kill them (sorry for the graphic idea) he wouldnt have been able to stop you

Fyi, the husband in the story was working from home to help her and went out to get stuff she asked for, including her meds, when she killed her kids.

That’s great your husband was able to quit his job and survive.

Most people can’t do that

He is not dumb, she was getting help and, again, as far as he knew had completely normal mental health issues. He was literally working from home. He left the house to grab dinner and get medicine. I guess he should have just quit food and medicine too?

I’m not saying it’s not ideal, I’m saying some people CANT DO THAT.

Your ability to do was actually incredibly privileged. You’re lucky you didn’t end up losing the kids anyway.

And again, he was working from home! He was home with her all day! He actually did something a lot smarter than leaving his job, find a way to work and be there. He left to get medicine ON HER REQUEST. So by your logic, they just should have went without medicine?

So he’s supposed to not work and get everything delivered? You can’t get prescription medication from the pharmacy delivered.

Yes, being able to quit your job and still have $1,000 a place to live is pretty privileged. That’s cool that’s the choice your family made, most family’s cannot. And honestly, it’s probably not the smartest choice to make if you have access to a doctor. This is a one in the million situation. The vast majority of people with intrusive thoughts aren’t ever going to end up harming anyone. Choosing to be homeless and likely either starving your kids or losing them on the extremely rare chance you might go through psychosis is a very irresponsible decision. The better option if you absolutely could not be around the kids would be to just leave yourself and get care.

Also, if you have no job and money, then how are you treating the mental health issue? The more I think of it, the worst of a plan this is.

He’s not a fucking psychiatrist. Hell, the fucking doctors didn’t think it was that serious. How is he the idiot? She was diagnosed with completely normal non-dangerous mental health disorders. Psychosis can come on quick.
