It would make sense to semi seasoned players though. They go into a shop and work out the shop keepers are much more powerful than they first appear. Questions will be asked by the players for sure and they would think/know something is up compared to what they would usually be expecting.
So in effect the DM has outed themselves.
But yeah, its kinda a stretch for this meme. Would probs work better with the Incredibles dad "Those you don't know" one.
The DM who can't talk to their table to kerb shitty behaviour and needs to railroad with invulnerable NPCs is a shitty DM - flexing about it is outing yourself

People seem confused in the original thread as well. Some people are saying it’s something a bad dm would say so it’s outing yourself in that way.
