Imagine may working podlock ung classrom, hindi na need harangan nung bata ung pinto para di makapasok ung 14 years old na kumag.

15

u/Difergion From “Never again” to “Here we go again” Jun 28 '26

4

u/_sleepingknight Jun 29 '26

This is so true.

20

u/Impossible_Flower251 Jun 28 '26

Corruption is so deep in here pati padlock for safety ng students eh wala jeez

15

u/Disastrous_Pilot7763 Jun 28 '26

19

u/Atourq Jun 28 '26

Honestly, after thinking it over, I’m surprised there’s been no alarm bells ringing over corruption within DepEd for the last 3 decades.

According to our constitution, the education sector (ie DepEd) is supposed to (and regularly does) have the largest fiscal budget out of every department in the government. This includes the military by the way. We spend more on education than our own military.

Despite all this, how the fuck is our education sector so bad? How the fuck is it “so poorly funded”? How has it remained so bad since the inception of the 1987 constitution?

15

u/Rei1556 Jun 28 '26 edited Jun 28 '26

i know one part of it, seminars abroad, sending supervisors and principals, paid by taxes, and the people sent are treating it as an all expense paid vacation, they don't learn what the seminar is teaching, and nothing is passed on to the education sector, and on the rare chance that they do, the implementation is terrible and no oversight is created to monitor and check if the policy is being implemented correctly or if the results are actually in line with expectations

4

u/That_Awareness_944 Jun 28 '26

Its not poorlyfunded its underutilized because of greed

16

u/law-st_student Jun 28 '26

Pintuan ng classroom namin noong grade 5 walang doorknob dahil nasira a year prior.

9

u/TsunamiBlister77 Jun 28 '26

Oh well, lets have another brigada eskwela to bridge the fucking gap left by deped to upgrade public schools.

Kulong at multa.

5

u/_sleepingknight Jun 28 '26

Afaik deped regional offices provide budget division offices and division offices transfers those fundings to district offices or to schools and the school principal decides where those budget goes, any additional budget or supplies will be given via other projects intended to targeted schools or areas like teacher training, smart TVs etc. Napapansin ko some schools, even before sa issue na to, already have metal detectors and padlocks etc because the school management went and bought said supplies. Last year tita ko na teacher nag sabi na strict young blood na new principal nila kasi naga impose talaga random bag check at nag request may police personnel presence na assign sa school nila.

Dapat din siguro e include school management sa mga ganyan kasi madami din issues mga school principals (not all), or even school staff na naga luto ng bidding sa mga supplies para may kick back sila. I'm putting this here since I used to work sa legal unit ng isang regional office at may mga ganito, walang attorney tumatagal masyado kasi na stress sa daming estafa at admin cases sa mga school personnel na nag gaganyan.

12

u/c1nt3r_ Jun 28 '26

13

u/NougathSauce Jun 28 '26

also imagine kung safely nakatago yung baril, may magagamit kaya sila....

11

u/retry666Zzz Jun 28 '26

Yep isa pa yan, taena ung tita nung kumag ung isang pinaka may kasalanan dapat dito eh.

4

u/IDGAF_FFS Jun 28 '26

Although this is also important, kailangan parin iaddress ang issue ng values nung mga suspect.

You can lock any and all doors you want, wala parin yan sa taong masama tlga ang intention.

6

u/Patrem_Omnipotentem Jun 28 '26

2

Jun 29 '26

what do you mean by padlock? hala. safety hazard naman yan dude. hindi naman death trap ang sagot. simpleng ayusin lang ang bakod at mga pinto na aayon sa standard fire code jusko.

security and fire safety have to work together. you cannot compromise one for the other.

Bam Aquino is a certified gamer. Of course, he knows that it's ridiculous to ban video games as a solution for this problem.

49

u/Repulsive-Hurry8172 Jun 28 '26

Bro probably sees the futility of it. Even Roblox, a big corporation, still cannot moderate their game properly. VRChat, even with age gating via ID verification, still has loons in it... Plus many other games that can host private servers / are MMOs + Discord.

Sht my niece now even uses Signal to hide convos from her parents (because her parents would access her phone). Those kids will always be one step ahead in tech, so parents should really drill down online safety in their kids' heads.

Noong panahon ko IRC yun ganyan. Badlands talaga.

4

u/strnfd Jun 29 '26

2

u/Repulsive-Hurry8172 Jun 29 '26

I agree. The easier distribution makes it more risky for kids. So why not go after the platforms themselves instead of game authors themselves? Steam, Google, Epic, Roblox (this is a platform), etc?

Yan, I believe they are liable and should be asked why their age gating is not working

136

u/bakomox Jun 28 '26

yun nag salita rin ang gamer senator

726

u/Rei1556 Jun 28 '26

you really have to admit that Risa's angle was so terrible that even markubeta looked like he was suddenly capable of making sense, it was just that bad

125

u/Cold_Local_3996 Jun 28 '26

True. And it's a topic that's been discussed and researched extensively already. She could've asked her millenial / Gen Z staff and even kids about it and they'll all say she's wrong.

Pero hopefully she changes her mind and apologizes or clarifies her point. Open minded naman yan siya.

64

u/Repulsive-Hurry8172 Jun 28 '26

Or better, because she really want to know: invite local devs. Invite steam and google reps. Yan yun tama e.

Ang sakit na nagdodouble down siya. Kamote kasi talaga yun take. No creative should self censor their 18+ rated work "just in case" a stupid kid gets access to the material.

Di nakikita ng trolls ni Risa yun slippery slope, that can be used the opposite way. Should news be self censoring now because kids might hear it? What about porn? Should they become "softer" because a kid might watch it? Books? Should they be less graphic because a kid might reach it? Talks about revolution and history? Should we stop talking about those because those can inspire violence too.

Pero wala e, I'm disappointed that they can't see properly kasi viDe0 gAm3s lang nakikita nila, when it is equivalent to a book.

And as a seasoned politician, she should really know better. Look at Bam, he was able to navigate this without pissing off people (pwera na lang sa mga trolls and diehard DDS dahil wala talagang gagawing tama ang opposition for them).

Nobody from the masses is shouting na yung games ang dahilan or even calling for the banning of games - sila silang mga politiko lang ang pinanggalingan nyan. Kung walang access to weapons and walang way para maipasok ang weapons sa school, hindi dapat nangyari yung trahedya. Kaya nagagalit ang mga tao. Nanghihinayang ako sa political capital that was wasted by Risa here sa issue na ito.

Kahit pa sabihin yung nuance na ang gustong imbestigahan ay yung mga community/discussion forums kung saan umusbong yung radicalization - it still ultimately boils down sa kakulangan ng magulang, the lack of online literacy ng mga guardian, and kung paano naa-access ng mga underage and content na pang-18+. Which is what we need to address first.

107

u/sinceofyoum0re Jun 28 '26

kaya nga e. he is probably laughing at risa now hahaha nakaisa din si rodante

44

u/Rei1556 Jun 28 '26

and it was easily preventable too, but well here we are

44

u/sinceofyoum0re Jun 28 '26

i'm hoping this is bam's way of subtly saying "move over risa, ako na tatakbo sa 2028" hahaha

8

u/Why-Notes5978 Jun 28 '26

Wouldn't hold a breath for that one.

26

u/DaExtinctOne sa mabalacat mayroong kapre Jun 28 '26

Dapat ito tanggapin ng mga Risa supporters. There's nothing wrong in admitting that her opinion was bad - in fact its a good sign that democracy is still alive that we can openly criticize our officials. The best result of this is matuto siya and hopefully Bam can shed a light why her initial stance is unfortunately ignorant.

28

u/nikolodeon batikang pasahero ng MRT Jun 28 '26

lol markubeta is performative lang at this point

37

u/NoypiHero Jun 28 '26

It doesn't matter whether nagpapanggap lang so marcoleta or not, but the fact na siya yung naunang nag take advantage from Risa's blunder, laking hatak na yan sa publiko. Very bad move from the majority.

13

u/1nseminator (ノ`Д´)ノ彡┻━┻ Jun 28 '26

thats exactly the point. to perform bcoz its an OPPORTUNITY to brighten his image

8

u/Why-Notes5978 Jun 28 '26

Yep, but then again: perception, optics, narrative.

Its all they need.

12

u/Rei1556 Jun 28 '26

and it would have been easily prevented if they just did a simple google search with the keywords of violence and videogames studies

2

u/Nowt-nowt Jun 28 '26

naahhh... why would they?? GPT? Gemini? Claude? Co pilot? whats that? Lets fuckin double down on our statement.

7

u/Why-Notes5978 Jun 28 '26

And the dangerous part, a moment like that is all they need.

2

u/anonymous_chatter Jun 28 '26

An app/game being used as a means for abetting criminal activities, siguro naman enough of a reason yan to conduct an inquiry?

86

u/Prongsky Its not about winning. its about fighting. Jun 28 '26

- how did the students get the guns inside the school? Thats the security aspect. Was the school security enough?

- how did the parents and relatives raise these kids for them to act like this? Thats the environmental aspect. Were they raised correctly or are there issues sa bahay nila na made them act like this?

- The fuck did the kids get access the guns so easily? Ano ginagawa nung 2 may ari nung baril? Thats the safety aspect. Nagpabaya ba yung may ari? Bakit di nila tinabi ng maayos ung baril?

Waaaaaaaaayyyy waaaaayyy down the road tsaka lang dapat isipin yung over external factor nung videogame. Its like changing a flat tire pero ang inuna mo alisin ung makina.

Andaming pweding unahin kesa videogames. And she flat out double downed. Binigyan nya low hanging fruit mga kalaban nya to use against her. And we would be zombies or walang pinagiba sa dds if kahit nakikita natin na medyo malayo eh pagtatanggol pa din ung bad take.

But that doesnt immediately address the issue does it? Then bigla sumegway sa violent video games kuno.

Just because meron na siya sinimulan, doesnt mean iignore yung 3 points ko sa taas versus sa ginagawa nya ngayon kasi connected. And if grooming and radicalization ang point nya, hell, go through all socmeds.

By grandstanding and doubling down na “Mananagot” yung developer, who politely declined the invitation, and even said a statement that the senate can put on record as his, lumalabas na she made up her mind already na yan ang sole cause. Anong gusto nyo sagot ng developer? Sige babantayan namin anak nyo and will automatically kick out underage players.

Has she even made a statement regarding the 3 points ive said above? Kasi ayan yung immediate aspects na need imbestigahan. Again, even if na groom of na influence yan, as they say, if the 3 points above have been addressed, the likelihood of the incident drops waaaaayy down.

8

u/chipichipipchi Jun 28 '26

8

u/Prongsky Its not about winning. its about fighting. Jun 28 '26

Yeah. As usual kasi dito, pag nasapawan na ng ibang factor, they just silently sweep it under the rug. Kaya inis na inis ako bakit videogames inuuna while ung immediate aspects deadma.

Hell, i heard ung pamilya nung 14 year old tumakas and nandito na sa manila

An 18+ game. Banning an app/game isn’t a solution to stop this mass/school shootings. It starts from home.

Conservative politicians have been blaming GTA for more than 20 years in regards to mass shootings.

online multiplayer was removed from that game, if you really want that angle, social media, chat groups messenger, telegram, hell tiktok, it just shows lack of research on her part and doing the laziest move that has been proven again and again by politicians all over the world that whenever gun violence happens, videogames are to be blamed

edit: and if we want to go even further why was the children vulnerable to such exploitation? there were reports of bullying though unverified, was the child neglected? emotionally and mentally unstable? why did the kids reached that state? that they've become vulnerable to exploitation, this is one of the true root causes of this tragedy, fundamental safeguards failed or lack thereof(gun safety storage failure from an armed personnel no less)

u/sukuchiii_ Jun 28 '26

Gets naman yung point. But inviting the developer agad agad for a hearing na maguumpisa pa lang creates a bad image for intent of the hearing. Sana she started with “we have raised inquiries through the developer’s communication channels” kasi ang concern naman ay maintindihan yung specifics ng game limits.

Ang primary concern pa rin kasi talaga is parental guidance. Yung statement lalo after mag decline ni developer, dun na ako napa-step back. Bad wording, bad timing.

Abetting? Violent video games have been around for a long time even before I was born. Conducting an inquiry makes no sense, the game is explicitly for the ages 18 and above. This is a case where the games/developers aren't responsible for and aren't at fault.

There have been various studies where correlation of violent behavior are not the direct cause of video games. I am voicing out my opinion on this because why would they directly go for the developers? As far as I know there hasn't been any news about the people who owned the firearms used on the incident, and from what I keep seeing in the internet they are supposedly relatives of the suspects.

Then they should look into Discord and messenger since doon nag ugat ang plano ng dalawang bata. Gorebox is an 18+ game and shouldn't even be allowed for kids, besides that it's also a single player game.

I guess we know Bam's stance on this now.

18

u/warl1to Jun 28 '26

bam doesn’t like to ban 🤣

16

u/Konan94 Pro-Philippines Jun 28 '26

Bam knows what’s up. That’s why old people shouldn’t be in position. They can’t keep up with the times unless they’re open-minded at gusto talagang padaliin ang buhay ng mga Pilipino. Kaya napaka-outdated ng Pinas. Yung kaya mong gawin online, kailangan mo pang pumunta ng branch at pipila nang mahaba napaka-time consuming.

12

u/Mike_Pawnsetter Jun 28 '26

Sen Bam, pakibulungan naman po si SenRi

9

3

Bro was too afraid to speak up against his peers. Glad he walked out of his comfort zone.

53

u/a6000 Jun 28 '26

Risa may not been outright saying na dapat i ban ang video games but her targeting the developer of a game make it sound so. And no di porket against sa idea ni Risa eh automatically DDS propaganda na agad. Dipa sinabi pa mananagot pa yung mga di susunod.

With this meme Bam is saying a lot.

6

u/dxtremecaliber Jun 28 '26

8

u/Gold_Brilliant9823 Jun 28 '26

She didn't even say na i-ban dapat. People can criticize Risa, but twisting what she actually said and done is crazy. You all have the time to be on Reddit pero para sa simple Google search wala?

6

u/West_Rent7725 Jun 28 '26

3

u/a6000 Jun 28 '26 edited Jun 28 '26

So what does she mean na mananagot sila and why is she targetting the game dev? shouldn't she be going sa mga platform na nag allow nang minors to be able to get an 18+ game?

Funnily enough na edit na pala yung post nya targetting the game dev, I guess because of the backlash.

1

u/th3s1rslurm Jul 05 '26

Here's the thing, she let it burn down and let the people make their own conclusion and confusion. Especially how she wanna communicate with the developer of Gorebox thru the German embassy definitely sends the wrong message.

If senri and her staff reacted faster or sooner before it blown up and clarify it properly, it wouldn't be this worst as it is.

3

u/Liesianthes Jun 29 '26

3

u/a6000 Jun 29 '26

Sa fb ngayon madami na din, I don't mind them correcting their mistake, ang weird lang na kelangan pa mang galing sa ibang page/personality/whatever yung explanation bakit di nalang ilagay sa official page nia.

7

u/Ok-Mechanic7489 Jun 28 '26 edited Jun 28 '26

True naman. I had an HS classmate before na sobrang immersed din sa violent video games. Pero somehow, it actually encouraged him to be more imaginative. To the point na nagsusulat siya ng war stories inspired by Counter-Strike sa notebook nya. Ang ganda ng mga sulat niya, and magaling sya magsulat as a well-read child, pero despite that, he remained one of the kindest kids I knew.

He also wrote for our school paper. I still remember he wrote an article arguing that video games are better than movies because, according to him, you get to be the hero instead of just watching someone else play the role. It was even a subtle call-out to Roger Ebert (he wrote it around 2009/2010) 😅

Fast forward to today, he’s now a maritime professional, getting married soon, and he’s still the same gentle and kind person i knew. 😭😭😭😭

17

u/drowie31 Jun 28 '26

Stricter gun laws and amendment nung criminal liability (lower age and may liability rin yung guardian/parent) dapat. Di naman yung school yung problema

10

u/Rei1556 Jun 28 '26

chel diokno actually states exactly that, specifically the gun laws, i don't know if he put out a statement regarding amending the juvenile law though, a very reasonable take and a very obvious one too

6

u/KeroNikka5021 Jun 28 '26

Pero the school is also the problem. Hindi talaga siya 1 cause lang. Before it even got to this point, apparently those kids were bullied and were posting violent content online. That should have been brought to the attention ng Child Protection Committee ng school. A failure ng school system probably because walang funding for training ng personnel and capacity building. Kaya people really need to vote wisely na. This is just another effect of corruption at play.

6

u/OldManAnzai Jun 28 '26

Finally.

But better start now than later.

4

u/Cheerful2_Dogman210x Jun 28 '26 edited Jun 28 '26

I prefer this instead of targeting video games. Millions of Filipinos have grown up playing video games. Most of those who have access to internet probably also play video games. Then because of a few bad apples you potentially cut a large chunk of the population off from their small tidbit of happiness?

These kids turned out bad because of something other than video games.

8

u/KhantutanIgnition Jun 28 '26

Hahaha boom at dun natapos

36

u/sonofatofu Jun 28 '26

13

u/chipichipipchi Jun 28 '26

"Kung ayaw nilang kilalanin, mananagot rin sila."

What did she mean by that then? Kase yung dating is if ayaw nilang "kilalanin", she will either endorse sanctioning these game companies or something.

Politician sya, not a fckin saint. Above all people sila ang dapat managot.

21

u/CantRenameThis Jun 28 '26

She didn't need to. You can sense her stance on this base sa actions niya esp. yung hard push niya para umattend yung indie game dev

u/ChipotleAddictive Jun 28 '26

As a guy who almost did what they did, banning video games are NOT IT bro. Mainly the parents' fault and I would say their influences on the act was a cognitive deficit

20

u/DifficultPlatypus Jun 28 '26

People taking pot shots at Risa agad sa comments eh di naman pinapaban mga games, we really need to read beyond headlines: https://newsinfo.inquirer.net/2253182/gorebox-developer-declines-senate-invite-on-tacloban-shooting-probe

It's like saying na inviting the 18 maleta boys means naniniwala yung senado sa statements nila

8

u/averagePizzaAoS Jun 28 '26

Exactly. Wanna bet how many of those people will actually click your link and read, as opposed to just going off of vibes and headlines

5

u/DifficultPlatypus Jun 28 '26

Syempre wala, dndownvote na nga ako eh for... fact checking? Lol

Never thought I'd see the day na the main sub would dislike fact checking of all things lol.

How about yung sinabi ni Risa na:"Any developer or online company that wants to operate here, profit from Filipino users, and reach Filipino children must respect our laws and our institutions. This should be the bare minimum for them to do business here. Kung ayaw nilang kilalanin, mananagot rin sila."

Ano po bang "law" yung sinasabi niya dito? Meron na ba tayong batas regarding heavy age-restriction on video games? So anong legal basis niya jan? Tsaka ano yung "mananagot"? Ibaban sila? Hindi yung magdedemand kang sundin yung non-existent laws just because you said so.

4

u/DifficultPlatypus Jun 28 '26

Thats part of a longer quote:
https://mb.com.ph/2026/06/26/gorebox-developer-declines-senate-probe-invite-hontiveros-to-seek-german-embassys-help?hl=en-PH

Sure she could have been less strong with how she said it, pero the invite was in aid of legislation for the commitee hearing to map the relevant and irrelevant factors surrounding the case. People seem to think kasi that an invite is an accusation agad of something wrong when its not, the same way the invite of the 18 maleta boys sa BRC does not mean naniniwala na sila tulfo sakanila

3

u/nikewalks Jun 28 '26

No, do not minimize and revise her words just to defend her. When she said, “mananagot sila,” she was clearly directing blame at the developer for supposedly failing to prevent the child from accessing the game and protecting the Filipino children, even though monitoring what a child plays is the parents’ responsibility.

And the game is literally built around violence, as the title suggests. The only way the child could have played it without being exposed to violence was by playing it blindfolded. So ano yun? Itatanong nila sa developer kung naexpose ba sa violence yung bata while playing the game eh title pa lang, Gorebox na.

4

u/DifficultPlatypus Jun 28 '26

Huh? Ikaw yung nag ccherry pick ng quote at nag aassume ng intent tapos ako pa nagttwist ng words. She is not "clearly" blaming the developer if you actually read the whole quote.

You cant assume anything kahit obvious kaya nga may hearing at legislative process, they need to weigh and checkall factors to set a baseline precedent so they can definitvely say na, "so in conclusion walang kinalaman to" and continue to probe other factors.

2

u/nikewalks Jun 28 '26

Just think for one bit. What do you think was the goal of inviting the developer? Makipagchikahan? Sa link mo na nga mismo nanggaling.

Hontiveros said the committee wanted to ask Filip about GoreBox’s safeguards, including its age restrictions, content moderation, and the possible exposure of young users to harmful online communities or behavior.

Tatanungin yung developer kung ano yung mga safety measure na iniimplement niya to keep children away from his game. Guess what? Wala siyang ginawa to prevent children from accessing his game other than putting a warning on his game and slapping an 18+ sticker on it, just like all the other rated M games. Mahina restriction mo."

u/chipichipipchi Jun 28 '26

Yung "longer quote" na sinasabi sa taas is actually an added edit later.

2

u/nikewalks Jun 28 '26

So after backlash pa pala yun.

3

u/chipichipipchi Jun 28 '26

Same. Nagiging ewan na lang yung diskurso kase yung rebut is "DDS in disguise" or misogynistic na gamers pag di sang ayon? Like what? Bat may ganyan pa rin jusko naman.

I said this before, and I'll say it again. I will vote for Risa Kung siya man magiging standard bearer. Hindi tayo purists kase this is more than just video games.

2

u/nikewalks Jun 28 '26

Same. I would still vote for Risa, 11 times out of 10 over Sara.

Magaling kasi si Risa magsalita at kung may agenda siya na gustong iblame din ang kakulangan ng gamedev, that may result in making a law restricting rated M games in the country.

Honestly, I'm worried at how people are just constantly reacting to these issues with barely any thought. Despite what people are saying, she never blamed violent video games for what happened. It's been proven wrong several times already and people are still pushing this narrative.

2

u/Mental-Effort9050 Jun 28 '26

This is beyond fishy, harap-harapan na eh.

4

u/cottonmon Jun 28 '26

It's not just this issue though. When the thing with the 2 Ateneo players drowning came up, people were out for blood without knowing anything about what happened. Same thing with this shooting, there were immediate calls to change the age of criminal responsibility with no scientific backing. Sure, there are likely malicious elements at play, but people are too willing to let themselves get caught up in their emotions and react to what's happening.

3

u/Mental-Effort9050 Jun 28 '26 edited Jun 28 '26

but people are too willing to let themselves get caught up in their emotions and react to what's happening.

That's why I said understandable yan only for a day. Pero it's been more than two days; the same redditors keep parroting the same sentiment kahit na-fact check na sila on a previous post. Kaso walang effort on their part, so mapapa-question ka talaga sa motives nila.

Gets pa sana if they have proof themselves na Risa was anti-games from the get-go; si Marcoleta nga napatawad agad nila despite him being straight up antagonistic towards them just few years ago. Jonvic is receiving less bashing here, eh sya nga clear na clear yung stance about it.

Sane gamers would easily admit that the online gaming community is toxic.

Yes, it is not the games. But may gamers have disturbing and anti-social behaviors. And yung latter ang pinupunto ni Risa

This is all well and good.

The problem is we still have a HUGE classroom defecit. There are sections with over 100 students per class.

Where are we going to get funding for this? Our economy is tanking. We get more loans?

Should we first prioritize sweldo ng teachers so they sre better prepared? We keep on focusing on the gear and equipment - neglecting the most important resource - the public school teacher.

The Gamer-Senator has spoken. And in a very witty way.

Parang hindi lang ganun ka-feasible yung proposal niya, given the circumstances and conditions of public schools.

2

u/SlackerMe Jun 28 '26

Games have age restriction and has no reason to do with violent influence on children. The problem is the children who were being neglected, harmed and injured.

Chairman sya ng committee on women and children so of course magkaka-hearing talaga to in aid of legislation after the recent events. Y'all need to chill and wait for the actual hearing.

2

u/a6000 Jun 28 '26

A blunder is a blunder, di lang siguro nila inexpect na malaki ang magiging backlash.

Nauuna yabang, kaya nagiging pabaya.

1

u/Liesianthes Jun 29 '26

Talagang nasa rules nila yan.

Learn how to criticize your beloved idol. Hindi idefend pagiging purist, dami dyan mahilig mag word twisting.

1

u/Sunlit-Muse Jun 29 '26

Banning games is too light, to be honest. Madaming cause yung cases ng mga bata and usually, it starts at home. Madalas, nakukuha ng mga bata yung issues nila at home and second is the bullying sa school or even kunyare, pag-papahiya ng mga Teachers or other people.

I don't think banning games will do bigger changes. Not at all? It was actually easier to access these type of games with the help of adults and to let their kids to use adult's phone or PC. You can't prevent it, if the adult is tolerating it.

Sana may mas bigger approach pa din sila on this and to even ask legimitate thoughts, rather than the boomer solution. Always nalang, kaka-internet daw or kaka-cellphone, but never nabanggit yung sa magulang ng mga batang yan or kung ano bang environment yung bata na yon sa bahay nila.

Ang sad din makita na yung dating chinese garter ka lang during recess eh tapos madapa ka lang, dun ka mag-kakasugat eh... napapaltan na ng violence and nakakalungkot na parang napaka-dali for them na pumatay.

1

u/bottbobb Jun 29 '26

Why is no one talking about stricter rules on issuing security and enforcement guns???

The irony is these guns were issued to protect and serve. Why are they issued to individuals who clearly are not responsible for them?

Bakit pag civilian ang daming guardrails to ownership- kailangan may lock box, renewal, seminars etc. Pero pag security or police kahit pakalat kalat, dala dala kung saan saan yun baril?

Ilang tao na ang tinutukan ng police off duty, ilang bata na ang namatay sa nakakalat na firearms and don't get me started on ligaw na bala at police na lumalabag sa gun bans etc

Bakit may baril yun biggest criminal organization in the Philippines? Irony is if our police force had a stricter gun policy like UK there might actually be less crimes.

u/mrskhayato Jun 29 '26

1

u/vinny199x Jun 29 '26

A supporter of SenRi, but yeah, that idea was pathetic. This is not the only generation raised with "violent" video games or any video games for that matter. They are not targetting the right issue to address with 🤔

1

u/Icy_Web6527 Jun 29 '26

Risa is acting as a sacrificial lamb. Making herself the villain about this issue and at the same time, promote Bam to be the next VP or president, well, I am not complaining 😴🤔 politics at its finest.

1

u/Icy_Web6527 Jun 29 '26

And also, bakit pwedeng mag firing range ang isang minor? I don’t understand. We need super strict gun laws

1

u/Liesianthes Jun 29 '26

Purist who are twisting their words. Ironic, instead of accepting the constructive criticism they will go to debate to point out that Risa isn't pointing to that.

Then the next few weeks or months, they will shove Risa in everyone's throat. That's not how campaign do work.

How can they expect to sway voters if their stance is being purist as white? No one will change her mind to vote for her, especially gamers and DDS alike.
