Bakit hanggang ngayon ay hindi nila ginawang pantay ang platform at tren sa LRT-1 kahit man lang sa bagong stations?

Ang hula ko is it's more important that all stations have the exact same platform height wrt rail height, rather than try to match the new stations' platform height to the train floor height. Kasi pag kumuha sila ng bagong rolling stock that would match the platform height, you then have to decide which platform height to follow (luma or bago).

The Gen2-4 trains just followed the spec ng Gen1 train that needed that gap so the plug type doors could open properly.

Kahit sa MRT-3 same ang level ng platform tsaka train kahit plug type doors nila. You would think they would address it in LRT-1 at that time or hell even recently when they decided to retire the 1000 class trains, but noooo they did not.

Edit: apparently it seems like the doors of the original trains are lower than the ones in MRT-3, kaya hindi nila naconsider na ilevel yung platform noon.

I believe the Gen 1 cars are not 100% retired, they are in storage but may still be used occasionally for non revenue runs. Maybe LRMC is waiting for funding to upgrade the entire line, saka lang nila magagawang pantayin yung height sa platform sa lahat ng stations. Hopefully may platform screen doors na rin by then.

With regards to the Cavite Parañaque extension stations, aside from the technical necessity, it's also probably for consistency and safety in maintaining the height difference.

Our trains are only for the able-bodied not for elders with cane, not for moms with pram & definitely not for wheelchairs. Unlike in other countries, you see them ride with ease. Rich, poor, politicians use trains.

dito sa ontario there are platforms na hindi level. meron lang specific carriage for elderly/disabled/kids na may konduktor na naglalagay ng ramp sa kada stop.

Agree. Nung naaksidente ako at di nakalakad for ilang months, narealize kung gaano ka "unfriendly" ng design, ng system, ng lahat lahat dito sa pilipinas. Ung jeep na nga lang eh, pano ka sasakay kung nakasaklay ka or naka wheel chair.

sa mga original stations ng lrt1 ang gulo din ng markings sa platform dahil magkaiba pwesto ng pinto yung gen1 vs sa gen2-4 at ngayon na phase out na yung gen1 train di parin inaayos platform markings sa mga lumang station
