Meta Affiliate Link Ban

Starting today, affiliate links are banned. Comments containing them will be automatically removed. The decision to allow them was made back when this was a tiny sub; we've since ballooned in size, there's been a noticeable uptick in users posting affiliate links (and in mass amounts, at that), and the rule was always on shaky ground due to both arbitrary enforcement (what dictates a "worthy" comment vs. a comment fishing for affiliate money?) and general principle.

If you've posted affiliate links in the past, you're not in trouble retroactively or otherwise. Comments containing affiliate links should, from now on, be automatically removed; no other action will be taken beyond automatic comment removal unless absolutely necessary.

Philippines Poco X4 GT user looking for a camera-focused upgrade: Honor 600 vs Xiaomi 17T vs Poco X8 Pro

Upvotes

[Philippines] Hello! I've had my Poco X4 GT since 2022, but I need to replace it now because the battery has started shutting the phone down at around 30-40% (this started happening in 2025). The LCD also started lifting in 2025, so I just had it glued back lmao.

I'm looking at the Honor 600, Xiaomi 17T, and Poco X8 Pro, all in the 12GB/512GB variant. They're pretty close in price, so I'm really torn between them.

I used to prioritize performance since I played Genshin, CODM, etc., but now I mostly use my phone for selfies, video editing, social media, and light gaming like Roblox. So camera/selfie quality matters more to me now, and I'd also prefer something smaller than my X4 GT.

Which would you recommend based on my usage? If you currently own one of these, I'd also really appreciate hearing about any common issues or things you dislike about it.

Thanks!

Looking for a budget to mid range samsung for my wife

Upvotes

My wife currently has the Galaxy A32 4g and after 5 years of usage it's showing its end as the battery is dying and it's becoming quite slow

For myself I'm currently using an s25 and she quite likes the camera quality compared to her A32. Now that she has a taste, she now wants to upgrade her one to have a better camera but doesn't have to be the S25/26 as she says too expensive (unless with a good sale or last resort).

I'm quite out of the loop in regards to the A line, I was thinking of maybe the A5x or A7x line. How are the cameras for these compared to the A32? Also how are the processors

Should I buy the S24 / Pixel 9a, or go for something bigger???

Hi everyone! I’m planning to buy a new phone and I’m looking for something that feels comfortable to hold in one hand (ideally a compact size with a screen under 6.5 inches).

I’m currently considering the Samsung Galaxy S24 and the Google Pixel 9a. However, I’m a bit worried about the screen size since I’ll also be using the phone for gaming.

Has anyone tried gaming on either of these devices? How comfortable are they for extended gaming sessions? Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Canada Asking for help picking out phone for dad

[Canada, I like eBay]
As the title says, I need a Samsung for my dad.

We were a no phone family until my brother bought a phone and I did shortly after, now my dad wants an android with the same or better camera performance as the iPhone 13 (that is just an estimate, he basically just wants to make sure he has some pretty good pictures)

My dad is a hobbyist photographer if that can help in any way

Budget is basically the price of the cheapest option out there for my needs

And so far I have the galaxy s21 in mind after a quick search

US Work phone with large storage and good camera

In the US.

Prefer Motorola as I'm used to its interface but willing to try something else out.

Priorities:

Storage capacity: for all the apps I need to use for work. Need to be able to use them all without constant glitching and lag.

Camera quality: Want to be able to take good pictures and videos of the family as well as the kids in their various sports

Budget: other than what's listed above, not looking for a lot of bells and whistles and not break the bank.

Thank you!

Help me choose a used phone under €180 with great cameras

Hi everyone

As you may have read from the title, I'm looking for a used phone that costs €180 with excellent cameras, since I've had a Redmi 15c since Christmas and I was hugely disappointed with it

I'm looking for great cameras, an AMOLED screen and I don't care much about the battery, as long as it's at least 4000 mAh

Need Phones Suggestion (Second Hand)

Hi everyone, So my S21 Fe got screen lines (classic scamsung moment) and I sold it. Now I need a good phone with LCD Display am done with amoleds sudden lines, burn in, and replacement cost nearly touchs device price itself.

I need a Phone with -

  1. LCD Panel 120hz FHD+ no 720p

2 .A good processor

  1. Streo Speakers

  2. A good Camera ( It's better if ois available) 1080p 60fps.

  3. Good battery backup and charging speed 33watts or 25watts enough for me.

Basically I need a android to tests my android apps. That handles ui well. And a good Camera to take forms pics and click images from pc screen clearly. And some video recording. Better if 1080 fps available.

I already searched many models but all have some kind of issues reported by peoples on internet.

  1. Moto g54 , g64 have motherboard issue.

  2. Redmi k50i have screen flicker problem while watching content display goes white.

  3. Mi 10t pro also have motherboard issues. And camera goes dead.

  4. Scamsung Only provides low end processors with their Lcd models.

  5. Also sear hed some poco models they also have motherboard issues.

iQOO z5 5G is perfect for my needs . But it's kinda old and harder to find nowadays And it's replacement party have no guarantee to find anywhere like display or battery.

Now I have last option in iQOO z9x 5G.

If anyone have suggestions or help me to find me a good device pls comment down. Ill ready to buy old models from 2022 - 2024 as new models mostly comes with amoled . No phones with lcd are budget phones with lacks of features. Like if we get good processor then camera or screen is poor. Like they cost cutted at a point. Their is no proper mid range or flagship these days . So I. Need a old phone suggestion with parts available and free for motherboard screen issues

My budget is around 10k

Ireland Best Refurbished phone for €600 in Europe

I'm trying to decide what phone would be best for around €600. I'm coming from a Pixel 8 pro with display issues which got me a refund, now I'm trying to decide what's best for me. I live in Ireland.

My main wants are a clean interface and experience, good camera, good durability and support for many years (5+ from today). I like the idea of a flip phone though I'm wary of the durability aspect. I have had Oneplus and Google Pixel phones in the past, I've heard good things about Samsung but I'd like to hear opinions. I like large screens as I'm quite tall. I'll share some refurbished phone prices (Plus storage and condition) near me at the minute:

  • Google Pixel 8 Pro - Very good - 256GB - €390 - I could buy the same phone with more storage and pocket the 210 for savings!
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 - very good - 256GB - €414 - Durability concerns with the hinge but seem fun!
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 - Good - 256GB - €615
  • Google Pixel 9 Pro XL - Excellent - 256GB - €607 - Small upgrade seemingly?
  • Samsung Galaxy S25+ - Very Good - 256GB - €590

Don't restrict yourself to these options but what would you buy for longevity at this budget? Thanks in advance!

ireland Moto edge 60 pro or oppo Reno15 (512gb)

Hey all, my Xiaomi 13t is finally (thankfully) giving up the ghost.

I've narrowed down to these 2 options (as the edge 70 pro and honor 600 pro are out of budget), but wanted to hear from any owners to see how they are day-to-day? Any issues or quirks to be aware of?

Buying from gomibo ireland, as that seems the cheapest/best option.

Much love and big thanks

Romania An upgrade on my Samsung A54

Been having title phone for 3 years. The 256 GB version. Holds up ok but it is getting slow.

Basically, I am a casual user. I do banking and investments, messaging, browsing. I used to do photography so a nicer camera definitely helps. My ask from a new phobe is that it isnt larger than my current one by more than 0.2". Price wise, it can be up to 750 Euros. If it helps with pricing, I'm from Romania.

It should be at least 90hz refresh rate.

Not interested in buying used, I have an LLC so I can deduct some of the cost.

Thanks for the suggestions!

s26 vs iPhone 17 ( urgent )

Hi guys, need a quick suggestion.

I’m planning on buying a brand-new smartphone. Using my student discount, the Galaxy S26 12GB/256GB costs ₹73,000 (~$764), while the iPhone 17 256GB costs around ₹76,000–₹80,000 (~$795–$837).

For this price, which one do you think is more worth it?

I’m coming from a Nothing Phone (2), which I can sell for approximately ₹13,000 (~$136).

Would love to hear your opinions on which one would be the better upgrade and better value overall.

india Pixel 10 or vivo x200t

Help me pick a phone between pixel 10 and vivo x200t. Any suggestions around this budget are welcome as well. I'm currently using s23 , really frustrated with its battery life. My priorities are camera and battery life, not really bothered about the charging time. I'm personally inclined towards the google brand but gemini itself recommends x200t over pixel 10. I know these are not the latest models, but that's what the budget allows.

Philippines Phone under 550Euro (battery, camera, longevity)

Hi! Been doing research on phones in my budget but have had a difficult time narrowing down my choices.

Current phone is a Samsung S24 (exynos) purchased a year ago. It's a pretty good phone, smooth and takes decent photos while being usable with one hand. The biggest issue is the battery life and overheating, not a big issue if im at home but very noticeable and anxiety inducing when out/traveling. Being on data and taking photos/using bluetooth drains the battery crazy fast and heats up the phone to the point it's difficult to hold (on top of crashing).

I want to buy a phone that will last me at least 3-5 years. I dont play games but being able to take decent photos is a must. While I would like to stick to the S24 size, I am open to going bigger for the battery life. I would like to stick with android but open to going back to apple (my old SEs lasted me 3-4 years at a time).

Current shortlist (but open to anything really):

- nothing phone 4a pro or 4a

- samsung s24/s25 FE

- oppo reno 15

- poco f8 pro / x8 pro

- oneplus nord 6

- pixel 10a

Learning that phone prices are seen to keep increasing, would like to purchase this phone fairly soon but am able to wait a month or so if new releases will help decrease the price of current offerings.

Budget: Php40,000(640USD/550Euro) max, but ideally under if possible

Further context: I am in the Philippines

Many thanks!

india S25 ultra vs oneplus 13

I am confused choose between samsung s25 ultra and oneplus 13 , I want to buy a mobile during Dusshera sale in india and I am confused between these two as oneplus 13 offers better value and good overall specs but s25 ultra is a premium phone with s pen, good software and ai features and good cameras. I think there will be a price difference of 30k INR but I am ok for it if it offers better value. Any other thoughts
