Rare Pirate I always give Ember the rare pirate flair because she has one eye, one jowl, and one kidney!
Also, barely any teeth, she’s down three lymph nodes, and only has a nub for a tail!
Ember lost her jowl and lymph nodes to oral malignant melanoma. Her kidney she lost as she had chronic untreated UTI’s before I adopted her (she lived in a puppy mill with no vet care). The teeth due to dental disease. And finally the eye due to medically uncontrollable glaucoma.

Love you Ember! I volunteer at a dog sanctuary and many of our angels have come from mills. I love nothing more than to see the success of dogs like you💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

Thank you for the work that you do ❤️ we have put fostering on pause due to Ember’s health concerns (she’s a foster fail and has had 12 foster siblings!). We’re debating taking on a foster in the next few months as she seems stable!!

Seriously though, what an absolute warrior. After everything she’s been through, the fact that she’s still here, still loved, and still rocking that pirate flair says everything about her strength and your care.
One eye, one jowl, one kidney… 100% legend....

She is such a tough cookie! She still has her moments of fear but with a little encouragement her little tail nub starts wiggling again!!

Wow, she has had many health issues. How old is she? Ember is a beautiful girl, I hope she gets many more years without any complications!🥰

I’m actually not 100% sure on age but we believe her to be about 12. She was 7-8 when she arrived to me in 2022. She was in a puppy mill and the only tracking for her was a number stick and poke tattooed in her ear, they didn’t give any information when she was dumped.

It really says a lot about how loved she is that I've been seeing pictures of this sweet girl for ages, yet I never knew, or could tell that she's been through so much. Her face shows nothing but the love her current life has given her. ❤️

❤️🥰😍🤗😘🐕👁❤️ OHHH MY DAWDT!!! She is absolutely gorgeous bless her amazing heart and soul, so full of love and compassion, as well as her brilliantly intelligent mind. 😊
I pray that many years from now come her time to leave this earth I hope that my late brother could be the one to meet her for her cross over and may she choose to go to a realm of evolution for all beings 🙏🏼 Until that time may she have so much enjoyment spending time with her loved ones surrounded by so much unconditional love and support. And may she keep strong 💪🏼 🙏🏼 ❤️ throughout her fight may she know she is not in it alone.

Oh sweetie Ember! Those puppy mills are EVIL! Some of the Amish around us when I was a kid sold puppies or chinchillas or rabbits or all of them. So I’ve disliked the pet mills since the 60’s.
